Opinions on best rda for flavor and clouds? Better than velocity clone

I currently have a velocity clone rda. Cloud production is good but flavor not so much. Wondering what you guys consider to be the best? Or very good? I know the best is subjective. I would like a deep juice well, option of a good amount of airflow

my go to rda's for a combination of both were the tugboat v2 for a long time, and was replaced with the Petri rda. Easy to build on, phenomenal flavor and great vapor production. to date I have 3 petri's (one of which is a bottom feeder) and 3 tuigboats. Both of which have an assortment of caps and tips.
I tend to lean on the Aeolus V2 pro for a fantastic, purely flavor rda and the kennedy for another one that has a great combination of the two.

It all depends on what you looking for. I a velocity, petri v1, mutation, kennedy and a mad hatter v2. mutationX4 and mad hatter has clouds for days but the hatter has the velocity post so easier to build in. My kennedy and petri are for my flavor chasing. With this 2, it just depends on how tight of a draw I want since my kennedy is the v2 for comp.

Well in my velocity I've tried claptons and fused claptons. Ranging in wattage from 30 to 100. And ohms from .2 to.5. Flavor sucks compared to my herakles plus sub ohm tank.

@BoomStick has a point

Some rdas do give better flavor than others, but the build has a lot more to do with it than the Rda in this case

At its roots, the velocity is just a sid airflow atty, I have one. I'm not the biggest fan, but it does great with a dual clapton build, 50-60w and direct airflow 3/4 of the way open and indirect airflow closed down.

-i personnaly still think the Petris are nicer, but that's my opinion,

Agreed. For me it's the Flavor Standard to which all others get compared. If you would like the dripper experience with a reservoir, the Limitless rdta has outstanding flavor, and it can be opened up for major vapor production.

My royal hunter is awesome for both, even choked down air flow still nets huge clouds and great flavor

I converted 2 of my Petri clones, just can't bring myself to poke holes in the authentic.

I bought a spare 510 Pin, insulators and 'liner' or whatever that white insert is.
It was still painful. But damnit it is worth it -lol

Grab an Aeronaut rda. Top and bottom airflow without the leakage.

I second this!! Plus replaceable air flow tubes to further tailor your vape.
I also use the Eden mods snapdragon great for flavour and optional velocity posts and cloud cap if you so wish.

I've got an Authentic Velocity V2, still may favorite addy but I have to say my second is the Goon. I love it, very nice flavor and very good vapor production, comes damn close to the Velocity.

My favorite "Fun" addy is the X1 30mm, great cloud production to the point of being obnoxious (why it's my favorite "fun" addy) ;) Thing about it though is with the bottom air the flavor is very good also. Put a pair of SS Fused Claptons at around a .18 ohm build and it's simply a BEAST.

It's all about the build. No reason you can't get fantastic flavor out of the velocity, clone or authentic.

Here's one I use regularly. Dual 5-wrap 2mm coils of 24ga kanthal twisted with 28ga kanthal. Ohms out at right around .2, works great on a regulated mod but I prefer to use a mech or a parallel unregulated box. You want the bottom of the coils right in line with the airflow. Wick 'em with rayon for a better time.
