Ordered Sig75 watt TC, what wire should I go for to try TC?

Hi people. I was going to order the Sigelei on Saturday, and have it for next tuesday, but my shop told me their stock was low and they probably wouldn't have any then. I got someone to lend me £60 until I get payed, with that I bought the mod, a new LG HG2 3000MAH battery, and my favourite drip tip that I lost.

Anyways, I have never tried temp control, but would like to try it.

I am in the UK, what type of wire would you recommend? Most of the time I will use the mod normally with Kanthal, but you never know, I might really like temperature control and start using that more.

So, just wondering what type of wire I could go for. Don't worry about gauges, just the type, I will get a few metres of all gauges.

Thanks in advance, Conan.

Ok, I have watched the video review of the Sig 75, and it said if you have a nickel build you can 'set resistance'. I am confused. I thought you built a coil, and thats it, that is its resistance. Am I right in thinking you can tweak the resistance, or are you meant to put in the resistance that the coil is built too?

Well, I have come to realise Nichrome works, so some of that has been ordered. Only some 26 Gauge to test out the TC if I like it or not, if I do I will buy more and use it, if not I will use Kanthal.

Still a bit cofused on the 'set resistance' part though. Can you change the coils resistance on the fly without building a new one, or have I got this confused?

What you really want to use is NI200 wire for best results.

I use Spider Silk with great results. I have switched to rayon as well for my TC builds...much better flavor...

NIchrome is not TC wire! As UncleRJ says, either Ni200 or Grade 1 T1. The resistance is whatever ohms you build your coil.

Use ni200 wire for the temp control. I use 26g ni200 for single coil builds and 28g for dual coil builds. Tempered ni200 wire is easier to work with and would recommend getting.

Spyder Wire wil work.

The stuff is expensive and can even burn if you try it in normal mode or try to get the crud left over from the manufacturing process off of it using a lighter.

I paid around 13-17 bucks for 15 feet. I have given away half of it to friends and still have 10 premade coils of my own and still a few feet of wire...ill order another box or two and be set for life :) No complaints

But i do agree, it will burn in VV mode, but we dont get TI for that. So hopefully people wont be trying that. :)

@kwtony is there a particular reason you use spider silk as opposed to the ni200? Btw I'll be giving the rayon a try...

Truth be told, it was one with the least reviews....So I did what any human being would do and bought it....SOO happy.

I didnt care for Ni at the time. but my Evic can do any of them.

If you have a few options to buy, ill put the order in next week and post my results. :)
