April is shaping up to be quite the month for fans of the '90s-era Spider-Man comics. Not only will Ben Reilly be starring in a new ongoing Scarlet Spider series, but original Venom Eddie Brock will be returning in the pages of Venom #6.
Marvel revealed the cover on Twitter this morning along with the tagline, "You wanted it, you got it! Brock is back – April 2017."

What exact role Brock is meant to play in the series remains unclear. Currently, Mike Costa and Gerardo Sandoval's Venom focuses on Lee Price, a former Army Ranger-turned-criminal who bonded with the Venom symbiote after a deal gone bad. Brock himself was last seen in the pages of Carnage, where he was bonded with the Toxin symbiote and joined a government-sponsored task force charged with bringing down Carnage. Perhaps Brock has set his sights on the new Venom next?
