Season 3's second episode of Orphan Black was a classic give-and-take episode, as some storylines began taking shape while others floundered. On the plus side, we learned a bit more about Project Castor, via Rudy and Seth. Their "Doctor Manhattan" routine at the start gave us a glimpse at just how messed up they are, at least somewhat establishing some differences between them. It makes sense that the Castor clones would be a bit more alike than the Leda clones, as they were all raised to be soldiers, but it was nice to see some of their defining traits.

This was further evidenced by the syllogism scene, where Rudy answered all the problems with ease and Seth struggled. Clearly, something was amiss with Seth from the very beginning -- he was obviously a bit dimmer than his scar-faced brother -- but here we learned that, same as Cosima, he was suffering from some sort of illness, albeit more of a mental one. It seems the Castor boys have just as much to gain from Duncan's notes as the Leda ladies.
