Hi people.

If you was here a couple of months back, you may remember the kerfuffle that happened when I pre-ordered the Wismec DNA200 from vapegeek-they had my money for a few weeks, and then vapegeek received the RX200's, not DNA200's, and they got told it was due to the shortage.

As can be expected, Rob from vapegeek was angry, and phoned me to apologise.

He wanted to refund me immediately, but I said go for the Efusion instead-so for the trouble of waiting, he gave me an extra LI-PO that sells for £25 on there, plus a custom drip tip, bringing the price above the Wismec DNA200, AND refunded me the price difference.

Well-I had a look facebook today, and saw someone had got one.

I wondered how, went on Ecigone today, and guess what? They had the DNA200 version in stock!

I am literally over the moon-it arrives tomorrow as I ordered it special delivery, arrives next day before 1PM.

It even included 3 completely free 18650's for the device.

So, I am back to stalking the postman tomorrow :).

I can not wait to have it-my authentic UD bellus arrived yesterday, I think a TI or SS build will go in there for this, plus a nice dripper for it-I may order a dripper now to go with it, and keep it just for the Wismec.

I am actually genuinely happy, I haven't felt this good in a long time.

Good to hear, Conan! And best of luck to you for your utterly sleepless night you're about to have tonight. Those are the best.

There was never more than a short hiccup in the DNA supply chain. They've been available all over ever since.

You'll get yours just as we now have the TCR Adjust update for our RXs, which is the big missing feature we were waiting for. But you've got several DNAs, so you already know if Escribe is to your taste and how much utility you get from it.

But you will enjoy the battery life from three 18650s. Kicks a 3C pack's ass. :p
Ahh. I did not know that-I will be honest, Rob from vapegeek said they were never going to be made again so he will not stock them-either the supplier bullshitted him or he did me-but he come across genuine, so I think it was the supplier.

He was very apologetic, and offered me a refund, but I chose the Efusion DNA200, he threw in a free extra LI-PO that sold for £25 and a custom drip tip to match it, bringing the price ABOVE the Wismec DNA 200, AND refunded me the difference-so I think he genuinely thought the same as me.

I don't know if it is being in the UK that was the issue-or as I thought they was unavailable, I just stopped searching.

I like the RX200, but I don't know if I can justify buying both models, although that is hypocritical, as I have the IPV D2 and D3, which perform exactly the same, and the D2 actually has better buttons (The d3's are a bit loose-ish to the touch).

Yeah I like Escribe, I am not going to lie. It is very in depth, but I am a bit geeky, like I have sniper wolf from metal gear solid 1 tattooed on me, I uploaded that somewhere on here I think, I was well chuffed, its all healed now and looks great.

I am glad you got the TCR adjust on the RX200'S,that is a big feature that will help a lot.

Haha I am glad to hear that-My hotig V1 that I have setup for dual batteries beats my Efusion, so I know 3 will be great.

Only thing I found out is I used an old link-the batteries are NOT included, luckily I have the 3 originals from when I was going to get the Wismec DNA200 before, but I also ordered 4 more 25'R's as I am running low, over 30 18650's now and I still sometimes have to wait for a bloody battery lol.

about 2 hours till bedtime here in the UK, (about 10 to 10PM at the moment), but I am so excited, not felt this way in ages.

I really can't wait to have it finally in my hands :).

You can't use the Sammies in the DNA, at least not reliably. The same with MXJOs I believe, though I don't know if those are rewrap crap or not. Don't care.

The problem is the reverse polarity protection rings in the battery sled.
The Sammies are just fractionally shorter then most and make intermittent contact.

Wismec recommends either the LGs (with 3 cells 20A is enough, I'd go HE4 or HG2) or the Sony VCTs (again 20A is fine... 5s or 4s would work).
Ahh, bollocks. I will go for HE4 for the extra headroom in pulse rating situations.

I was not aware of that-thank you. Wasted £20 though now on 25R's. I will order some HE4's now. I was changing to HE4's, don't know why, I guess I liked the yellow-I wish I stayed that way.

Will have to sell them over at the UK place, should get £18 hopefully.

Ahh, this is good. At least I can USE it tomorrow when I get it-that would be mental torture lol.

I have placed an order from batteries plus for 4 LG HE4's, I didn't fancy the HG2's as the ones I own seem to perform WORSE than a 25R, with so much sag they last for less time than a 25R. They sag in my single battery devices more than half a bar, so once it goes down to about 3/4's full, it sags below cutoff point and says check battery-and I wanted the HE4's due to the specs being identical to the 25R's (Pulse rating of 45A for 5 Seconds, 30A for 6, ETC) and as the DNA 200 can hit 20A I would like to play it safe-although generally, in escribe, I never hit over 10 amps. I guess I am over cautious, but I like my hands and face how they are, they come in handy so I would not want to lose one lol.

I have asked for the 25R's to be cancelled, as it's £20 wasted, and twenty quid is twenty quid, no matter if you are rich or poor.

They have not shipped them yet-so I have emailed the company, and will call them first thing in the morning with my order number for the 25R's.

I am just glad I can use it tomorrow-just be gentle with it, I will be anyway-I wont be throwing around a £130 device lol.

You can use any of your existing 20A cells safely (getting three fairly matched is up to you) since the max watts per cell is only 66.

But, as you know, with Escribe you'll need to set up your batt specs for proper metering... and then change it again when the new batteries arrive (if they're different, that is). It's a little different having easily removable 18650s (of various brands) vs. a usually non removable LiPo pack. Enjoy. :p
Thanks man-I do have a set of LG HE4's I could match up, but it is a married and single battery. They have had around 20 cycles, using them would not damage the device would it?

Yeah it is different, as I noted with the Hotcig I converted to dual 18650's.

I will use them, as I can't wait to try it out :).

I also just went to throw out the padded envelope, and found this in there as a freebie!

It's called electric lotus, I tried it on a dripper, and it tastes NICE. I don't know what of exactly, but it is sweet tasting. I like it. I can detect a few flavours, I just need to work out what they are lol.

Well I am getting just over 22 W/h's in Escribe with 3 LG HE4's that have been used around the same amount-one married set, and an extra added in.

Reading as balanced in Escribe, working great, I have created my custom profiles as it come with none-which I like, as it is meant for user customization.

I reduced the preheat from 200W down to a more sedate 60W, and it tastes lovely.

I have made the standard NI200 profile, and also ones for TI, SS316, SS316L, and SS317L.

I don't see the point of making a kanthal one, I will use the standard first profile for this, as it automatically shuts off TC when it knows kanthal is detected just like my other DNA200's (Well, it would being the same chip lol).

But-this feels VERY ergonomic. I thought it would feel much different, my fiancee wont have a dual battery mod due to the size, but due to the shape she does not mind this-so I think instead of a dual battery device, the Joyetech version might be a good idea for her.

It is a very reasonable price, and with the new TCR update, I think that will also be a great device, after using the EVIC VTC mini that is my favourite single battery mod, I see no reason that the bigger version should be any worse, so I think it will also be an addition.

But, this is fantastic. I will be experimenting all day today with different wire types, finding the best CSV possible as I have for my other devices for the different types of SS.

I find that in my own personal opinion, 317L works the best for TC out of SS. That is opinion though-your results may vary.
