I started vaping around two months ago. I had been a smoker for 23 years and new it was time to stop before it was to late. Vaping helped me quite the sticks, cold turkey with a smile on my face. Like so many others, I started with a corner store ego pen and plastic tank. Within the first month, I graduated to Aspire glass tanks, loved the difference in flavors, by the end of that month, I had started ordering top shelf juices. Again, great step forward. Next, of course, I wanted a better device that I would not have to recharge ever ten minutes. I decided to try out The Groove II, VW VV device....I LOVE IT. Next step, cloud chasing. Now, being that my grandpa taught me to support mom and pop style businesses and I am an artist at heart, I eagerly went looking for a mech mod that would support small business and artists alike.....yeah, no. I spent many years buying and selling metal stock and working with machinists....I know how much money is invested in a mech mod and its machining.....20 t0 65 dollars at the most, that is with others doing the polishing and threading for you even, yet everyone is selling their mods for 150 to 300 on average. Now I don't want to be the one who supported regulations in this hobby, however, without the regulation, large companies are to afraid to get into the pool with no lifeguards around. This leaves the waters open to sharks....People who gouge you on the price of their mods. For this reason, I made the decision to avoid name brand mods or artisan mods if you will, and support the clone market. They actually sell almost identical mods for a reasonable price. In retail, 300% over the cost of your supplies is a very standard rate of product increase, 30 invested should sell for 90 and put 60 into it, 180 should be the max price, I will never buy a mech mod that cost over 100 dollars. If others would fallow suite, the price on the named mods would be forced to drop into a much more realistic price range.. And a little unknown tip for most of you, call a local Lowrider club and ask for a number of an engraver that they recommend, they will know someone with Otto Like Abilities that will charge you a hundred bux to work the hell out of your mod, without charging you 3000 dollars.....anyone else feel the way I do on this subject?
