Blizzard has announced that it's releasing a $175 USD levitating toy version of Snowball, the companion bot of Overwatch's Mei.
The levitation, which Blizzard jokingly calls "very scientific," is accomplished through a magnetic system between Snowball itself and the base it comes with. Other bells and whistles include an LCD screen with a number of changing expressions like a winking face and heart eyes.
Snowball has standard AC/DC and USB charging options, and a snowflake icon on the unit's base pulsates to indicate when it's being charged.
Owners will need to keep Snowball away from other digital objects that may be damaged by magnetic fields: TVs, speakers, computers, smartphones/watches, etc.
