Owning a RBA without RB.

There's a vape on the market that I really like... simply because it looks awesome. It's a rebuildable, though, and I don't RB, nor really want to get in that deep.

Would it be realistic for me to buy the RBA, and then find a local enthusiast to "build" it for me?

Is this a service a vape shop could be expected to provide-for-pay?

Or would I just get laughed out?

Unless you have a roommate that is into rebuilding and you pay him or her back with Pizza and Beer, I just don't see that option working out for you.

And truth be told, RBAs are just not that difficult to build for the most part.

I agree with UncleRJ! However, whenever I go into a vape store it's full of people who have RBAs who are having them built. There are apparently a lot of people who can't/won't rebuild, and the vape shops love them!

That said, it's incredibly easy to learn to build. If I can do it so can you!

some vape shops charge 10-15$ just for one build! its outrageous and a rip off.. you can easily learn in a couple hours of YT videos..

just get yourself a coil-jig type tool to make wrapping the coil easier and I think you will be surprised how easy it is to pick up!

Buy a $10 ohm meter, a jewelers screwdriver set, and watch a couple of vids on YouTube. You'll be wrapping and wicking coils like a pro in no time flat. Don't be intimidated, it's actually quite easy unless you have severe arthritis or are blind or something. It's fun and rewarding too.

you can buy a quantity of prewrapped coils pretty cheap. All you have to do is slide them into the posts, tighten them down, and put wick in.

Fact is, If you're not going to get into Rebuilding yourself there is no point in doing it. Go get you a sub tank or Atlantis.

These shops that are not educating people on the safety side of vaping are going to wind up getting some kid hurt on his mech mod who thinks because his shop made it look easy there is nothing to it.

My local shop does builds for people. They do a good job but Ive heard horror stories about the awful builds from others.
But honestly, if you let them do it for you, you need a cursory understanding about how your atty works, or your gonna be left high and dry way too often. These tanks are not as eternally reliable as people seem to think, and youll be paying people too much money for something you should have just learned how to do, like tighten a post screw, or push over a wick.

We all pay others for their expertise, for services we cant perform ourselves. But most of these services dont require the daily maintence of an RTA.
Just get a subtank.

I can sort of understand why you'd want someone to build your atty for you (and pay for the privilege) if you're lazy, easily scared of the unknown or disabled with your hands.

But the thing is, what are you gonna do when it's 11pm and your coil or wick needs changing? Unless you're exceptionally wealthy and you have a butler to do it for you at any hour of the day or night, the whole point of rebuilding is self-reliance.

To me, that's even more important than cheapness and versatility: the ability to have the setup I want right here, right now. And it's not limited to e-cigarettes either: my house, cars, bicycles, guns... are all maintained and fixed by yours truly, because I don't have to pay through the nose some guy to do it on his own inconvenient schedule.

Given how easy it is to wrap a coil and wick it, unless you have a good reason (disability), not doing it yourself makes no sense at all.
