So it's been about 6 months of vaping for me, it's definitely turned into a hobby.

In all I've probably purchased...let's say 10-15 mech mods. (Along with various tanks that get use)

Recently I purchased an authentic vicious ant phenom in brass which I am in love with, so in love I ordered it in stainless steel as well.

I don't see me purchasing any other mods other than this because it has (personally, for me) everything I've been looking for in a mod.

Am I nuts for just wanting to get up to 5 on these on hand (obviously not all at once) and just use these?

I know it's all personal preference but does anyone else do this when they finally get everything they want out of a mod?

I am gradually moving towards having 2 (or more) of many things.
A. to have backups.
B. to keep one set at my house and one set in my tractor trailer.

Different colors of the same mod though? Why not?
We wear different colors of clothing depending on what we feel like wearing that day, so why not with mods as well?
Get enough of them and your mod could match your outfit :p

Tell me if you are still buying multiples after four years. I used to buy way to many mods and atties. These days I'm giving away stuff as I just accumulated too much. Also there is always something new and shiny coming out. I save my money for that.

I buy two of everything - one for me, one for the wife...if we both like it great, if not one of us probably will and will have a backup. I generally don't buy more than two, as by the time the old favorite breaks or wears out there are usually five more shiny new choices that do a lot more for the same price as the old one...I thought my v1 Sig 100 boxes were a great deal a little over a year ago at $85 each and I got my money's worth out of them, but I'm glad I didn't buy a bunch because I can get essentially the same thing on steroids in the Sig Fuchai 200 for $60 or less today.

In the last month I have bought:
2-Paradigm Magma RDA's
2-Evic VTC Mini's
2-Sigelei Fuchai's

The only reason that I have bought those in pairs is because I am buying for me and my wife. The Magma's I bought because I got authentics for the same price as a clone and they have great flavor when vaping.

The only thing I really want a second of because it has impressed me so much now is my 18650 Cartel mod. clone. I have one in brass ( I believe it is a Cigreen) and would like to have one in stainless, I ordered a cheap SS one from Fleebay but it isn't even a shadow to the brass one I have so I will be looking for a quality clone of it. Unfortunately I can't find it in Cigreen so will have to go with a Infinite and hope it is close enough.

2 Evic mini's
3 Bella tanks

Now I am looking for the Paradigm Magma RDA. Going to make some machanical box mods and regulated box mods to.

Buying 2? Sure!
Buying 5? Not a great idea.
What happens when you find a new favorite? Sure you might keep one of the older tubes in your rotation, but you won't be using all 5.

Could be just me though. You might never find a better fit for you and those 5 mods might last you forever. In the end, do what makes you happy and screw other peoples opinions.

I got them for an insane price and haven't been able to find them for near that again, I have also bought the EHPRO Nixon and found it to be a GREAT, and by great every bit as good as the Magma, flavor rda with easier to adjust air flow than the Magma with MUCH larger air holes as well and they are only in the low $20 range. I am about to order a second one of it as well.

Heck the clones for it are only about $2 less than the EHPRO so for that price I got the EHPRO's since they use food grade stainless on their stuff.

Here it is for only $19.99

My buy multiple items are because of co-ops. I have in a few co-ops bought only 1 of a item then after finding its a great product and should have bought more, lesson learnt a long time ago. I also rarely buy anything off a internet vendor other than flavorings, too many forum readings on bait and switch and misrepresentation of genuine products. Co-ops have kept my wife and I vaping top shelf for almost 3 years. Use to buy for both of us but she is a bit stubborn on trying new things, so I buy for myself and include her just for fun.
Buying multiples or something I don't need is part of the fun of a hobby and the bucks spent on vape gear is only a fraction of the bucks I could have spent on cigs over the last 3 years. Even including the 25+% exchange rate to the US dollar (from a TFV4 co-op buy a couple weeks ago), I still save more than 1/3 buying US co-ops than Canadian vendor pricing not including the 12-15$ shipping cost.
