ParaTech Review of Smoant Charon TS 218

Smoant sent this for the purpose of this review.

Smoant did pretty well with the Charon TC and stepped it up rather well with the Touch Screen (TS) version.
It has an awesome and very responsive screen.
In the box is a USB cable for charging and firmware upgrades, the mod, and a big ass user manual.
Weighs about 318 - 320 with batteries in it.

They decided to put glass on both sides.
While you'd think that'd make it easier to damage, it seems to be pretty durable.

4 strong magnets hold the back cover (battery door)
There is a small notch in the bottom of this panel for your fingernail to remove it to change your batteries.

Over the large fire button is a dedicated lock screen button.
Short press to black out the screen.
Long press to lock or unlock the screen .
This is helpful to prevent accidental setting changes.

The large fire button hits very quick getting the power to your coil NOW.

Towards the bottom is the charging/firmware upgrade port.

Stainless steel 510 connection.
Gold-plated, spring-loaded pin.
While the mod is wide enough to hold a 30mm tank, the 510 platform is more for a 25mm.
There are six venting holes on the bottom.

The large (2.4") touch screen is very responsive and the main event on this mod.
Not only is it just as active as your smart phone, it provides plenty of options and features.
While it is super simple to use you can either totally customize just about everything for your vaping pleasure or just set it and forget it.
Your options are endless.

Awesome things:
Best touch screen on the market currently
Bright touch screen works as well as a cell phone and is very large (2.4")
Charges at 1 amp
Dedicated screen lock button (quick click locks screen, 1 second push blacks out and locks screen)
Depending on the size of your hand, the Charon TS can be very comfortable to hold
Firmware upgradable
Glass on both side (while that makes it a fingerprint magnet, it looks sharp)
Large clicky fire button with a bit of travel
Looks great
No rattles from the buttons, battery door, or batteries
Pass through charging
Pre-heat
Super easy menu with plenty of options

Improvements could be made on:
Battery life while not terrible, could be a bit longer.
Seems to fire just a little hot while in TC and has a slight delay (however no delay in power mode if set to hard to max)
Short battery ribbon
