Pass through charging

I have a small mod that I like to use at work that allows you to vape while the batteries are charging. If I leave the mod on the charger the majority of the time to keep my battery full charged, am I hurting my battery or my Mod?

In general, most mods with pass through have overcharge protection. As long as your mod or battery is not getting hot while charging but not in use, I'd say you're OK.

I am not quite sure why, but certain mods do not like to be charged on a computer.

The mod I am getting, the cloupor mini, had some issues when it first came out, seems it happened exclusively while charging on laptops, it felt d the charging board. They've fixd the issue since, and it came out over a year ago. I plan on wall charging mine anyway. I'm not sure if any other mods have had this issue or not. But USB charging is so slow, why wouldn't you wall charge instead?

really no reason other than I always have a computer around. I will try to stay away from it. The last thing I need is for my favorite mods to get fryed !!

Computer and Laptop usb is usually always greater than 4.2 volts, so overcharge.

The charge board may get to hot if it has to charge a battery at the same time as it is allowing you to vape and it may fail . Some Mods have the charge board hotglue in place and the glue may melt .

Just to clarify, on-board charging and pass through are not necessarily the same thing. Any pass through is obviously on board charging, but not every mod with on board charging is a pass through. Pass through simply means you can vape while charging. Just fwiw @pescadore

It's really weird because my SMY 170 has on board charging and the Mini is pass through.
