Pg based flavoring question

JVMV

Unlisted Vendor
hi, so I'm still very new to DIY juice and I have a question that's very noobish to ask. I have noticed that juices I try that are 50/50 in pg and vg have a bit more taste than ones with less pg like a juice that's 80vg/20pg.

The question is is the percent of pg your planning to mix with your juice a limitation to how much flavoring you can add to it? If so, is there any vg based flavoring for DIY people who mix 100% vg juices?

I personally haven't noticed much difference in flavor with higher VG juice.

With an eJuice calculator, it accounts for the PG of your flavo(s). Yes, there are flavors with VG only to make 100% VG juice. Haven't used any though, 'cause I'm mainly utilizing Flavour Art (FA), due to higher concentration and "real thing" flavor. Therefore, with FA flavors, you can make good high VG juice. Also utilizing Nicotine in VG.

It could also be due to your wick not getting enough ejuice with higher VG and the taste getting muted or starved. A solution to that would be to use higher PG ratios or improve on your wicking. I only vape high VG and found that the wicking is the key with high VG ratios such as even 70% or above. Give Pima cotton a try.

It's VG/PG not PG/VG

Most concentrated flavors are PG based, some manufacturers do provide VG flavors.
There is no reason to use VG based flavors unless you're allergic to PG or feel you must have 100% VG e-liquid for some other reason.
You just need to calculate you mix with flavor considered as PG.

Some flavors are also alcohol based, ie, NF & VZ SC come to mind.
And some people can get good flavor using VG and some can't.
As nightshard said above, the only good reason to use VG only is if you're allergic to PG.
50/50 is a good compromise between clouds, flavor, and wicking.
