? PG/VG ratio & no nicotine w/ throat hit flavor

Hi all!! I am going to start mixing my own juice. After reading numerous threads I've decided to purchase my pg/vg liquid from bull city. #1.) I don't want nicotine but want throat hit. What type of alcohol to add and % for throat hit? #2.) Will not using nicotine decrease flavor? Throat hit?
#3.) Also on pg/vg %'s I've been at 80-50 pg. some flavors seem dry and irritate throat, but don't want to clog my kangertech or aspire bdc's. Suggestions?

High PG will give more throat hit. I find melons to be the harshest of flavors I have. Melon, Cantaloupe, Honeydew. There is something called flash too, supposed to give throat hit with no nicotine. I've never tried it, but I do use many Flavour Art flavorings, they are terrific!

ive been diying for almost 2 yrs and have yet to mix anything 80-50 pg,,,,,hmm ,,,just sayin

I do have some flash liquid I mix with my tobacco and walnut ,,,,,it does help a little,and I do keep it in my flavor arsenal,,,,,but if you think your gonna get a miracle throat hit,i don't think its there

Thank You Sully! I had some mt baker vapor vanilla cupcake and it was just so dry @ 80 pg. 11mg. Nic. Thinking it was the flavor or the pg? Their banana foster was great though w/ same pg & nic. I am onto a new horizon trying bull city's liquid and some FA & TPA!

Nice, I used to love PG for the throat hit...2 years in, I'm Max VG now. I don't need to wake up with a sore throat in the morning anymore, and I don't need it to feel like smoking. Every person has their own preference and sweet spot, so experiment, have fun and find yours!

I soaked some red pepper in pg for about a week. Then added it at 5%. Gave a little throat tickle. But there was a slight, weird flavor.

I believe flash and some others are a chile pepper extract. Just a thought.
