Hey all :)

I was hoping that someone here currently uses this phantom sub ohm vape tank by horizontech and could give me a general yay or nay..some pros and cons. I've been using Aspire 2 for a long time and have plenty of other ones, but I want a new favorite basically- love new gear and just need something fresh! Any insight or general nudges in the right direction is greatly appreciated! I've been super loyal to my tesla two box 100w box mod in case those deets are necessary :)

was looking at it on this site and sounds good- but want some VU backup!

Thanks in advance for the response!

I wanna know too. Two tanks? Recycled juice? How does that work? Wouldn't the juice start to taste funny?

Half the things they are claiming for this tank are just babble to make it sound good and the people that have gotten this tank to review think its just a all around PITA tank to use, gets too hot when using it, its a pain to fill unless bottomfilling or using a needle for the sidefill, it heavy and large and cumbersome. Unless you get it for less then 25 bucks I wouldnt bother unless you want a light saber replica

I bought one to try cause I buy pretty much everything and I have a problem. LOL

I haven't used it. Got it yesterday along with a Smok TFV4. Honestly I took the Phantom apart to look at it. That was about it cause the TFV4 was pretty much all I cared about when I got home. The Phantom seems way overly complicated and does look like its gonna be a royal pita to fill w/ the side filling system.

If you're in the market for a higher wattage tank I would buy a Uwell Crown or the Smok TFV4.

I'll mess around with the Phantom though and advise.

@KaBoomStick

Hey thanks for the reply on this! You hit the nail on the head, basically looking for an easy to use, reliable and slightly higher wattage than the Atlantis 2 that is my current all day reliable device (using tesla 2 boxmod). I like em clean and simple! I really like the look of the Smok TFV4, that thing looks clean as all hell and pushing upwards of 140 Watts is exactly what I'm looking for! I'll go ahead and purchase this one ( lol, I have a problem too, you're not alone!) and post pics once it arrives. Hell, I may go buy locally if they have em at my shop; I'll stop by on my way home.

Thanks again for the advice, think the Smok looks perfect... no leaking issues with it right?

Happy Vaping!

TFV4 riding my Militia Mods DNA200. To give an idea the mod is about the size of a Hammond G box. The tank is a beast. Keep in mind it's 24.5mm wide so if you have a narrow or 22mm only mod it will likely overhang a tad. Also the tri coil drops about 1 ml of juice capacity I would say due to the size of the coil. It's a behemoth. Will post another pic in a second comparing it with a TCT coil. All that being said it's an absolute cloud machine. Flavor is muted as hell below 80w for me. I like a warm flavorful vape and the tank def delivers at higher wattage. I would recommend buying the full kit with the quad coil and all the other goodies. It's a way better value than the cheaper single kit.

If you have to have a 22mm the Uwell is tough to beat for the price for cloud and flavor.

Absolutely no leaking whatsoever with wide open air slots and top filling. The top fill is so easy to use imo. Refilling in about 10secs literally. I use a lot of syringe bottles and it's even easier.

@KaBoomStick Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this info and take the pictures! Bohemuth sounds like fun! I'm going to splurge and pick up the full kit! I'm excited! This thing looks like a @#$@#$'n beast! Gonna run this with the Sigelei 150W as soon as I get it and post some cloud pix! I'll @ ya when I get it setup!

Thanks again Kaboom! Much appreciated!

I am so grabbing that Smok tank just adore the top fill and how it slides over!
I am probably going to get either the IPv4 or sigelei to go with it.
I am using the evicVT which is amazing on its own but one GOOD mod isn't enough... The isticks was my main fun for nautilus before I started sub ohm lol

I'm sure it'll work but I would get a tank that hits 60w like the MVP or evicVT

It will be terrible. The flavor of the tank doesn't even get going until 75+ watts. To me it was the weakest tank I have until I got to 85w. Then it really stretched its legs. Keep in mind this tank is a tri coil system running low ohms and requires a mod with at least 75w and even then I would recommend a 100w mod so you don't have to max your mod all the time. This is just my opinion but I think others will agree.

A Sig 150 will work nicely with this tank. I don't have a Sig currently but it may overhang it a tad. The tank is 24.5mm wide. It's a beast and produces serious vape at high wattages.

I like to leave a 20% or so amount of headroom for all my devices. That's just my personal preference. I don't like maxing out anything all the time.

I prefer to have excess wattage and turn it down than max my mod. It also gives you better longevity with a mod imo.

I wouldn't compare the IPV4 to the Sig150 TC. The comparison should be to the IPV3 Li (imo). The IPV3 Li is the newer one, is built solider, goes up to 200watts, and I'm not a fan of the battery sleeve (cover). I personally prefer the IPV3 Li over the Sig because it has built in Ti support along with Ni200.

Cheers,
Steve

Apparently I'm not the only one who doesn't like the battery cover lol

I wanted to add to the above post that the IPV4S fixed a lot of the problems of the IPV4 (mirrored screen, charging board removed), but imo the IPV3 Li is just the superior device in build quality, power output, and feels better in my hand. Good Luck!

Cheers,
Steve
