Here is a great place to start! Its all FA flavors, but its solid.

If I was new and only had 10:
Cheesecake (Graham Crust) TPA - you need creams and cookie/bakery for many base flavors, and this one covers them both well
Apple Pie FA - Another perfect flavor, bread crust is unlike any other
Caramel FA - as a flavor or <1% as dark sweetener
Vanilla!! I recommend FA Classic or Bourbon, not Tahiti for starters.
Nut Mix FA - or your favorite nuts, not Almond FA - if you want almonds for simple recipes get toasted TPA or CAP
Meringue FA - Bottle smells like liquid Lucky Charms' Marshmallows, adds fluffy-sweet to light flavors
Banana, White Peach, Strawberry FA - or some sweet fruit
Raspberry, Lemon Sicily FA - best in class, fruit adventures.
Cuban Supreme FA, or any popular, natural tasting tobacco. Pair easy with nut, caramel, vanilla. Blending with fruits takes some imagination...
Dragonfruit TPA or FW - If you don't know what this is, you'll probably like it until it's no longer interesting/new. I loved this for months...
Honorable mention:
Chocolate Coconut Almond CAP - standalone 10-15% tastes like a good Almond Joy days 2-5, then almond takes over. Still yum..
Creams - start your collection. Grabbed cheesecake instead since list is short.
Cookie FA - Yep its a cookie. Grabbed cheesecake instead since list is short.
Marzipan FA - to pair with apple pie for HIC's easy-pair recipe Sugary-Apple-Almond-Tart
Covers the bases with all-star flavors that have lots of feedback on VU, this list would do me good.

I asked something like you did over at that other Forum when I first started. I had only been vaping about 6 weeks when I caught the DIY bug (mainly once I found out how much cheaper it is to DIY), and I didn't know what flavors I liked as nearly everything looked so good. If I had to do it over again, for me I would have skipped the tobacco group. Maybe you like tobacco flavor. Nothing wrong with that.
