Hello Everyone and welcome to Pizza Dave’s Vape Reviews. Today I will be going over the Vaporesso Target Mini V2. This is a follow up to a successful line of devices that Vaporesso released around 3 years ago or so. When I got into vaping larger equipment back in 2016, I was hard pressed to find someone who didn’t run an original Target back then. They were quite popular, and it doesn’t surprise me that Vaporesso turned to this series of devices with a refreshed design. I am going to go over the device, the included tank, and as always, give my final thoughts down at the bottom.

MOD OVERVIEW
Like I said in the intro, this device is a re-hashed version of the original Target Mini which is a few years old now. Back in 2015-2016, it was commonplace to find smaller, compact devices like this. Atomizers didn’t require a ton of wattage to provide a satisfying vape, but then…. wattage wars happened. Slowly, single cell devices, and micro mods started to disappear, and every vaping company was going for higher wattage numbers, 200, 220, even 300 was starting to be a common place item. This has fizzled out a bit now, as many vapors are going with smaller, more discrete setups, instead of chasing clouds with larger devices. This mod is a 50w device, which features a built-in 2000mah. It has a dainty display, dainty buttons, and comes with a dainty 22mm VM tank. This tank comes with smaller coils, which are optimized for lower wattage. All of these things combine for a compact and easy to carry setup.

OPERATION
The Target Mini II comes with the Omni-board 4.2 which features a .66” led display. It has three functional buttons, which are up, down, and enter. This board is pretty basic and is easy to pick up and start using.

MENU SYSTEM
This menu is super generic. As you scroll through, you will find all of the following modes.
There are actually a ton of features jammed into this mod, but I don’t know how much of them are really usable.

HOW IT VAPES
It is a bit of a tough item to gauge here. As a kit, I can’t say that I was impressed much. The tank matches the output of the device well, as the coils don’t require a ton of power, so it makes for a kit that has OK battery life. Where I found this mod to shine was with smaller MTL tanks or rtas. I tested it out with the Zlide, as well as a Berserker Mini 1.5, and they worked out well on top. When running atomizers in that 15-25w range, I got all the way through a workday on the 2000mah battery. I did attempt a few runs at 50w. It seems to fire at that 50w just fine, but the battery drains down very fast, so I wouldn’t expect to get too far with that. I didn’t dabble much with TC on this one. I trust that Vaporesso did that well again, as they have done well with their recent Omni-boards, but I would leave that testing up to someone with proper equipment. The majority of my review time was spent with the included tank as well as MTL rtas.

TANK REVIEW
The Target Mini II kit comes with the VM tank. This is a compact, 2ml tank, which features the updated mesh CCELL line of coils. It comes with a .6-ohm and a 1.2-ohm coil. The tank also offers varying air flow which ranges from some small MTL holes up to a larger slot for a restricted direct lung inhale. These holes match up with their respective coils. The slot works best with the .6-ohm while the small holes match up to the 1.2-ohm coil. I tested mine with various liquids to see what worked out. I attempted some 6mg, 12mg, and even 25mg salts. I found that each coil impacted what liquid I liked best. The .6-ohm coil felt right with 6mg liquid, while the 1.2-ohm coil worked well with 12mg. 25mg salts were ok with the 1.2-ohm coil, but too strong with the .6-ohm. However, even though I found strengths I liked in this tank, I never found flavor, or much satisfaction. I felt like the coils were on the cusp of burning and they never kept up to how I vape. Flavor is nothing great, vapor is minimal, and I felt like I needed to instantly grab one of my other devices as soon as I got home from work. The tank just didn’t do it for me. It has a few good things going for it, such as the coils match up well with the power output of the device, it looks nice, and it is compact. Other than these few things, I couldn’t get into it.
