PlayStation Productions, the production studio behind film adaptations of the gaming giant's properties, has a brand new intro animation that's set to play before the Uncharted movie.
The animation shows off PlayStation characters including Horizon Forbidden West's Aloy, God of War's Kratos and Atreus, Ratchet and Clank, Naughty Dog's Nathan Drake, Joel and Ellie, Ghost of Tsushima's Jin Sakai, and last but not least, Sackboy and Astro.
The intro animation is reminiscent of Marvel's comic book-infused intros, clearly banking on nostalgia for PlayStation's suite of characters. Fans will see it play before the Uncharted movie adaptation, which hits theaters on February 18. You can check out our review of Uncharted, which IGN's Jeffrey Vega called a "safe but serviceable sampling of a new globe-spanning adventure."
It's also more than likely we'll see this new animation roll before future PlayStation Productions films, including a potential adaptation of Jak & Daxter, speaking of PlayStation heavyweights. The Last of Us is also coming to HBO, which we got a first look at back in September.
We also know that Sony is seeking to take the recently-acquired Bungie and turn Destiny into a multimedia franchise.
