Polishing mechs?

Been trying to get my brass mech mod to shine like it did when I bought it, I use brasso (the white liquid) and when I use it, it makes my mech look more like a matte finish? I put a little on a microfiber cloth and spin away on my drill then finish it off with a clean cloth. No matter how long I do it I get the same results. Does it have anything to do with the brasso being a white liquid and leaving that shade of color on my mech?

Not sure in the best thing to use with brass. With copper I used bartenders friend or a copper polish with a polishing cloth.

Hopefully some others can help with better techniques and answers.

Yeah I saw tenacioustx using that stuff and was wondering if it would work out better. So just the same thing? Spin on a drill and it’s good to go, no blue magic or anything
My raven after a scrub...wanna try some? I have alot and no more brass tubes. Pm me address and ill send a nice sample tomorrow

You can use Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish with the kind of microfiber towels normally used for polishing your car, but you can get finer results with Mothers Billet Metal Polish and nitrile gloves, and, if you give it a finishing touch with Cape Cod it will take noticeably longer before it starts to get dull again so it saves effort and it really smells nice.

With copper you can use toothpaste, ketchup or lemon and salt. You would be amazed how well these work.

They do work but not as good as Wrights Copper Cream. Wrights works incredibly well.
