Possible motives behind Juul pulling flavors

I was just watching Regulator Watch and they mentioned Atria (?) who owns the Marlboro brand also owns a large chunk of Juul.

With the recent announcement from Juul to pull certain flavors and keeping tobacco flavors. This announcement now makes sense knowing that Marlboro owns quite a large share. Keeping tobacco flavors as the only flavors available makes it pretty much easier to switch back and forth between e-cigarettes and traditional cigarettes if prices change drastically due to taxes.

So in all reality Juul is protected either way.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I am thinking that Juul is trying hard to get FDA approval. But I expect that they will have to drop their nic to 20 mg or lower to get approval.
Personally I would like to see them go down the tubes. They have NOT helped vaping.
I agree 100% with you. However $$$ makes the world go round and they have a lot of it. And with big tobacco as a shareholder they have even more. It kind of makes me wonder what is really going on there. 2 opposing industries joined...what is really going on? Just something to think about.
