I haven't seen much about this tank here on VU, so i wanted to toss my opinion into the non-existent hat This little fella showed up at work today and i couldn't resist! Having been a long time fan of the Derringer, i have always admired the things that Praxis releases. Anyways, i feel like i should start this by saying i'm 99.9999% of the time a dripper. This is only my third tank. I bought it because it's hybrid-friendly, designed to be used on the Praxis mech mod-i would imagine. Anyways, i dropped the .5Ω coil head in and screwed it onto the Noisy Cricket. I figure .5Ω is great with a dripper, why not the tank as well?! I am absolutely, TOTALLY in love with this thing! After spending about 6 hours chain vaping on it i just felt like i needed to share this haha.
The flavor on this tank is just outstanding. It's good enough to make a serious dripper happy. The airflow is ever so slightly restrictive, maybe just a little more open than a kanger w/ a .2Ω coil, but not as open as the Cleito. It's got 4 air holes similar to the Derringer (which had 3), with a rotating ring that spins in a pleasing manner. It doesn't lock into place, but it doesn't move unexpectedly either. Good stuff.
Aesthetically, it's VERY similar to the Derringer. From a top-down view it's identical in size and style. It takes the exact same drip tip as well. Upon close inspection it has a very peculiar engraved texture that covers the sides of the tank. It feels great and i think it gives it a classy appearance, though it isn't really visible from more than an inch away. You can see it in the photos, its difficult to explain. The coil heads have clever little lightning bolt wick holes, which look awesome-its a shame that you cannot see them when it is installed. The coil heads also match the finish of the tank, my coil heads are the same gun metal gray as the tank, with the same engraved texture. The attention to detail is everything you would expect from a higher-end mod company. Interestingly-the top cap is reverse threaded.
Bearing in mind that i am using this on a series box, i could not be happier with the way this thing performs. I literally cannot get a dry hit on this tank, and i have tried VERY hard to do so. This box is running the .5Ω coil at about 125W so i think that says a lot haha. It was supposed to come with a .2 and a .5 coil, but mine came with two .5Ω coils, so i cannot speak to the performance of those coils. For the sake of research i did vape this tank on my IPV D2, and still got a satisfyingly flavorful vape between 60-75W, so it doesn't need to be cranked at full blast to make me happy.
So far i cannot find anything to complain about. Hasn't leaked or had anything come loose or whatever. It's a really well built device. Well worth the $35 sticker price. For me the most impressive aspect is that i have not once felt close to a dry hit. This thing wicks unbelievably well, even keeping up at 125W+, which is impressive to me.
Here's some video of the performance with fresh batteries on a series mechanical box (about 8V) and some photos of all the stuff i talked about. Hope this helps someone here, i was surprised by the lack of literature on this tank here on the VU. Enjoy!!
