Praxis with Orchid v4.

Has anyone tried pairing the praxis mod with the orchid v4? Need some opinions for I'm thinking of getting a praxis mod to pair up with the v4 since the praxis's height is pretty low. thanks

Praxis with an Orchid v4 on the left, Smpl with an Orchid v6 on the right. The v4 & v6 are exactly the same size. The Smpl mod is a little shorter. Can't lose with either mod if you ask me. The Smpl is a little easier to take the atty off and back on to fill, since it's a flat top. You have to deal with the hybrid cap on the praxis.

finally got a brass praxis clone (sorry guys but extra money is hard to come by here in the Philippines) with a black orchid v4. An amazing combo. The switch is very hard though on the praxis but it should help with strengthening the fingers. ;)

The switch is stiff with the Authentic too, but you will get used to it. Should smooth out over time as well. It's not your standard coil spring. It's a flat spring steel thing. (I don't know what you call this type of spring)

thanks. oh maybe you can help me out with this... i tried screwing in the 510 pin from the orchid v3 into the V4. i didnt know as i was screwing it down and tightly that i loosened my center post. its back in place firmly. but ever since then the v4 heats up faster as well as the coils. is there a problem?

Not sure what you mean by "v4 heats up faster". The one thing you need to make sure of with these hybrid type mods, is the contact pin on the 510 protrudes or sticks out a bit so it can make contact with the battery. If it doesn't, you could short the circuit damaging the mod, the atty, or worse, vent the battery. If it is setup properly, these mods will hit harder and faster because of the direct contact. (which is why I like them!)

for example the ramp up time for 26g wire dual coil at .5 is a lot faster than before. i haven't changed any other variables. except when i tried to use the 510 contact pin of the v3 on the v4. i screwed it on without knowing that it had loosened the center post and wrangled the wires. i've since rebuilt the coils but now the base gets hot on the tank.

Sounds like your chain vaping! Mine gets pretty warm too if I don't allow for some cool down time. What kind of battery are you using? Is the hybrid cap the brass one? No shorts anywhere? Which clone did you buy? Pictures?

Also, I don't know if it would make a difference, but the guy from praxis says to screw the cap onto the atty first, not super tight but snug, using the three post side next to the atomizer. But since the fill hole is there, I would probably use the circular side up against the atty so there is no chance of the posts on the cap getting stuck in the fill hole.
