Pre made claptons

i have bought a spool of 26g+32g Clapton wire. Loved it! Made flavor pop and thick clouds. Ran out so back to the vape store I go.
They had a couple of options. I thought I would play around, see what the different gages would produce. So I bought another spool.
32g+28gx2+Ribbon.
Well I have no idea how to build with this. It is totally different. I get lower ohms and lower voltage. The vapor not as dense and a much cooler vape. Normally vape at 80w with a .4 or so ohm. Now I'm closing in on 100watts with a .2......... (This sigelei is a little off when it comes to sub ohms.).
Maybe a different wrap? I have 6 wraps on 3.0% screw. Dual head on a velocity atty.
Does anyone know what the 28x2 means? I'm thinking dual wrapped 28, but the ribbon. What is the ribbon all about?
I even tried it on my aromamizer rta, thinking the thinner wire would work better in smaller space. Still lack luster flavor and not as much cloud. Also tried vertical on both, so.........any thoughts out there?
I'm thinking I'll keep the wire for hard times.

Well the 28gx2 is twisted 28g wire prob used as the core. The ribbon is a thin flat wire but im not sure where it is in the wrap without a pic.

Hey....... I did it! The pic isn't the greatest, it is kinda a flat wire.very springy, hard to wrap and stay

This is what it looks likes on velocity. I just put them on 2 hrs ago and I can see the build up already. Think I should turn to have thin side up?

Ok so its a twisted 28g core with 32 g wrapped on top of that than with ribbon on top of the 32g. Thats alot of wire and with the extra wire needs alot more watts to heat up. If you up'ed your watts to 120-130 you'd prob be happier with it. But im with you on 26/32 clapton its def my favorite.

Yep........it eats my battery life. Plus it's hard to get wick through. Keeps getting fouled with the wires inside. I been thinking after I took pic, there isn't enough cotton! The wick isn't there to produce the vape I crave. Sound logical to you?

Rewicking might help a little but to get better vape outa that size wire you'll have to up the watts

Thanks Skiball, I just upped the voltage to 120w and BINGO. It hits. Crazy, I never ran that high....well.... I stick between 75-85w normally. Got this.....still think I should try to ram some thicker wick through. I'd never had though I'd like to vape that high.

I wouldn't rewick if it aint broke dont fix it and you'll have to soon eventually anyways.

I tried this wire again. 3 wraps. .2 and the clouds and flavor are kickin........... Glad I tried again. Too much to learn

I have used a couple rolls of UD's premade Clapton with great results. I just picked up a roll of twisted 28g wrapped with 32g from Geekvape. I haven't given it a try yet. I will continue to try and make my own, but the pre-wrapped stuff is hard to beat knowing it'll be perfect every time. Up to this point, I've wasted more wire than I have made wrapping my own...OCD sucks lol
