Problems with SS advanced coils.

So I've been running TC for awhile now on Sigelei J150 and been loving it. Problem is I enjoy building and making more than just plain clapton coils.

I run a SS316L 26ga with 32ga wrap clapton my flavor is amazing on all my juices. Anything else and my 70vg juice seems to fry. I had a 3 core 28ga with 34ga wrap alien setup and the only juice that vaped somewhat decently was my 75 vg after I took a few wraps out of it.

So i decided to try a fused clapton 2 core 28ga with 34ga wrap. Helped a little on flavor but it's still not there. Tempted to try and take a wrap or two out of it to see how it is but also looking for insight on it

Current build in pics below before I got it all juiced up.

The smaller the outter wrap the better, as it holds more juice between the coils extending flavor and coil ramp up time will decrease as well.

Pay attention to your wattage also..Too much power can take flavor away as too little power does.

The coils look fine to me..maybe play with air flow at chosen wattages to see if you can fine tune a little..Too much heat and not enough air flow isn't good and so is too much air and not enough power.

I think the problem may be your mod. Sig doesn't have the best rep when it comes to TC.

Variety's the very spice of life, that gives it all it's flavour.

You want great TC check out the FSK chip. Get a G2 or a Slice by Hohmtech. There are plenty of vapers here that will vouch for that board.

Well after looking around and getting info on the G2 I'm sold for the price point along with the firmware upgrade to 171w. I honestly can't see any better way to go.

Plus with the way SS316L builds for such low resistances I won't have to worry as much with my builds. Tired of tossing a wrap or two extra to get it from being to close for my liking to the resistance of .1 I've always tried to stay around the .2 mark or a little higher.

If you haven't purchased a HohmTech MOD yet, just wanted to pass along that VaporCube still has their sale in place.

Yep, for wrapping wire I use 36g - 40g, mostly 38g.

Lol go figure 5 mins after hohmtech sent the email saying it's been shipped u post this. Oh wells.

As for wire. I've been looking at getting some 36 to 40 ga. But now my problem is finding some good quality wire supplier that ships to Canada in large quantities. Since I've recently seen the horror stories of LVs 1000ft spools I'm scared to buy there and I know there's better quality wire than theirs too

Well got my G2 in the mail today. Updated firmware and I'd say it definitely fixed my flavor problem with my juices.

Now to get use to the almost instant temp it hits. So use to the slow ramp up time of that sigelei j150 and having to blow into it before I take a pull to get the temp up.

Any recommendations on xxx mode for SS316L for a starting point would be appreciated since I only had it at 30% or so and fried my throat at like 230 Celsius. The SS316 mode worked great at that

All the answers you could possibly seek lie here. Thanks to @mjag

If by some chance you have an issue that is not covered head over to the G2 thread. Plenty of Hohmboys there that know the mod inside and out. Better than a factory rep. Lol.

Like @Deucesjack mentioned all the answers are in the first time users guide. The one thing I will mention here is it is always better to start low and go up then too high and go down. I am usually at about 12 to 15% with SS316L in XXX mode but I would start around 8% until you get more familiar with the mod.

The SS316L mode is great on it's own, I use it a lot but if you want to tweak you vape then XXX mode has that flexibility to adjust the FSK%.
