tl;dr
Instead of using glue I just slipped a ~3mm thickness o-ring over the top cap and put it back together.
Slightly longer explanation;
Had an ongoing problem with the glue holding the Provari board in place, tried silicone glue but still wasn`t too firmly held in place and there was still movement, it was a bit messy and I`m a little impatient.
Didn`t want to use epoxy or anything else more permanent and was advised that a silicone based adhesive was the better choice.
Measured the gap between where the top of the board ended and the underside of the topcap, it was approximately 2.8mm (I didn`t write it down and have since forgot what it was exactly)
So rather than trying more glue and waiting around, I thought the gap needed filling with something else, as it turns out I had a rubber o-ring that was just under 3mm thick and slightly smaller than the diameter of the Provari tube.
Slipped it over the top cap and gently tapped it back onto the tube and the board was fixed in place with no movement !
There`s soldered connections on the (this Provari version`s) top cap, but there is no pressure put on that by the o-ring as it simply bends down and away - the only contact is between the edges of the board and the underside of the top cap in two places.
Other people have used glue successfully and that`s great - but just thought I`d mention it for anyone who was interested.
Disclaimer: Don`t try this at home, at your own risk, don`t blame me if you blow it up etc, etc
