Was reading up on these and they seem to have the external side wicking like the kanger
protanks,protank2's, evod etc.

Anything special i should know about these tanks?... is 30g kanthal ok to build coils with? ..only looking for maybe 1.5 to 1.8ohms at the lowest.

Also found that the taifun gt v2 air flow control base fits the gt so ill be picking up that as well.

Thanks for any input.

I'd rather use 28 gauge wire. However, it depends on your battery. Check out http://steam-engine.org for your builds, it also has Ohm's law and other useful tools.

28 would get you more into that ohm range without a tricked out build.
30 you could get a tad bit creative.

Yea..im only using a mvp 20 watt...i do 30g coils now in simple kanger tanks...its fired a 2.7ohm 13 wrap 30g easily at 12w...i usually like 1.8 ohm around 8 8.5 watts.

Sounds like i should be ok with 30g then.

Thinking a 8 maybe 9 wrap micro.

You could put yourself in a loud coma with a 5/6 wrap 30 ga parallel coil about 1.3-1.5 ish.

For a 1.8 Ohm coil, the 30 gauge wire is good to use. According to the website listed above, you could do a 7/6 wrap around a 2.4mm (3/32") tool. Got a drill? Another option would be a 2 strand twisted 30 gauge 8/7 wrap 2.4 mm ID (Inner Diameter), as with the plain 30 gauge. However, you might boost the flavor with the twisted wire coil build.
I personally like to be in the range of 8-10 wraps. More surface, more vapor, more flavor.

Yea..have a drill but wanting to more less keep the gauge down so i dont need to use more power....If i can do 1.8 ohm on 30 i should be pretty happy with it...I do have a 2.4mm precision screw driver i can use...ill give the 7 wrap a shot and see how it goes..thanks.

The twisted build option is also a 1.8 Ohm

Done some research and think i found all i need to know about the taifun gt.

1.) I dont see it any different really than building a coil and wicking as it is a simple kanger single coil tank...just a different connection and making sure the slots are filled top to bottom with wick.

2.) The Version 2 GT air flow control base can be fitted on the GT

3.) If the v2 air flow base isnt enough then i learned how to make the standard base wide open throttle for some pretty massive clouds.

Really looking forward to getting this tank and playing with it in steps to find what i like most.
