I've had outstanding luck with putting together online events (Joe's a huge help of that), and I've always wanted to try an offline event, such as a meet for my local area.
About a year ago I went to the Scenic City meet in Chatanooga, and Dimitris said I should do the same for my area. I came home and slowly built up to it. I first started a Facebook Group for my area, then told others in my area about it. It slowly built and they all wanted me to put together a meet. I then got a partner in my area to help and we scheduled the meet in a local vendors shop, and have scheduled a meet each month going around to each shop in our area.
Today we had the meet from 3pm to 6pm, and we doubled the amount of attendees that we expected. I made 25 baggies filled with eliquid, but thought about 15 to 20 would actually show up. More than 50 actually came to the meet and it was a complete blast. The vendor thst let us hold the meet at their place did more sales than ever before in just those three hours, the online vendors who donated got good exposure and awesome feedback, and the vapers in my area got an experience that they'll remember for years to come.
If any of you know Scubabatdan from ECF, he attended the meet as well, since he's from this area.
