LiPo batteries kind of scare the crap out of me. I think it is the stability issues of the past.
Had a few friends watch all their work melt in flames when their rc cars went up.

I'm sure those rc car's are pulling some crazy amps. Not like our regulated devices 20-30 amp max using a balance charger and all the safety in our boxes I'm not worried just need to find a battery pack that's at least 6000mah minimum and fits lol most have a C rating that is more then enough

No they were destroyed, one ran over by a bubba special metal framed gas powered rc car, the other was ran over with a car.

One friend was to stupid to not realize he should not play with anything sharper or more complex that cotton. He almost burnt his house down not paying attention to his charger.

Lol. I'm also thinking if my ipv2 doesn't sell I'll buy a Hammond box and transfer all the parts over to it with a dual battery sled and make the box pioneer should have done.

I hope you have a balanced lipo charger for charging the lipo pack.

6000 mah will be about the size that you pictured, I don't think that's fitting in a tube cell. Your discharge capacity will be multiple times more than any build you could put on an atty but what are you going to put it in? Building a big box mod or something.

Hobbyking has a ton of lipo's in about every configuration made, they will probably be your best bet.

And yeah, any time your dealing with a multi cell lipo like what was pictured you need a balance charger. There are large capacity single cell rc batteries, but most all rc and plane lipo's are in a shape like you pictured.

Do you know of any that may fit with a high mah. If I find a battery pack I was going to wire it up so I can just plug in my hobby charger to the box

I grabbed this picture off the net a while back. I don't know the internal dimensions of your battery area. My advice is find a battery or two on hobbyking and scroll down the battery's page and ask in the q&a's area. Someone may know something.

well once they're out of their casing they are a bit squishy. Or you could dremel a chamfer off the "inside" base of the mod. I'd do that and cut out room to epoxy an XT60 in there for charging. Why not? In fact you've given me a project to do now :) ..just not with an ipv. Good luck and let us know how you get on..

edit: oh I see, sorry, you meant it's too wide - you can still squish it

had anymore thoughts on what to do regarding your ipv, did you get time to have a dig around yet at battery sizes?

Its a sigelei 100watt and I've found a few but nothing that beats my current 2500 18650 since they run in series and its half the amps for the same wattage it runs like a 5000 mah so unless I hack up my box looks like a pipe dream

power tools and laptops use several 18650's in them

Not good for vaping..but for my other hobby of high power cree flashlights ;)

I think the next step in box mods should be some battery packs so we can vape for a week straight. What if we get marooned on a desert island? Lol

so it looks like you'll have to buy an sx chip and find a smart looking box. it doesn't have to be a hammond. i go around the shops and see what things can be used. i've bought some pretty smart custom tins from head shops. i don't know how much 100watt chips are. expensive i suppose

ah a few modders have made dynamo vaporisers that give enough power for a few vapes at a time

Also we all use lipo packs in our daily lives And don't worry about it like cordless phone, power tools etc...

I have a Vaporshark DNA20 and it has not blown my face off yet.

Kinda happy about that:D

I have been looking at the vaporshark, that is about the only vw mod I would get but I am waiting for it to get up to 40w+... 0.5 is just a little shy of what I want it's limit at.

That is a sexy machine though.
