Quasar RDA Build problem...

Hey everyone, could use some expert advice. I'm having issues with finding the right build for my Quasar RDA. The problem I'm running into is I continue to get burnt hits. I've experimented with different air flow adjustments, different coil resistances, etc.
I've gone to rayon for wicking now since it does a better job wicking then cotton does...at least in my experience. In this case, the rayon doesn't seem to be keeping up!
Any ideas? Do I need to go with a higher resistance build? I've tried .3~.8 ohm builds in it so far with the same burn problem. So odd...only in this RDA have I had this problem.

ideas welcomed!

I just started using a Quasar, and I had the same problem until tonight.
I just started using a little bit less cotton and I tucked the tails underneath the coils. That along with keeping the wick fully saturated got rid of the dry/burnt hits.

Edit: the air holes are aligned with the coils and almost fully open.

DasBlunderbuss, I do believe you may have the answer! I just did as you suggested, tucked the Rayon up under the coil and voilĂ , no burnt hit! It's the first time I've been able to use my Quasar with really good results. I did end up opening both air holes, even with my single coil build. It seems tucking the rayon under the coil prevented some airflow with just a single air opening. That doesn't matter at all because this thing is performing great. The flavor is really quite amazing. I wouldn't have thought about doing what you suggested as I always leave room under my coil builds for airflow.
Thanks mate!

What a huge difference in this Quasar RDA. It went from an extremely frustrating dripper to one of my favorites after following DB's suggestion.
For any of you looking for an RDA that produces great clouds and amazing flavor, this quasar is one that can do it
