Hey, hi. So for those of you using Acetylpyrazine......... is it supposed to smell this strong before even opened?

I got vape mail yesterday and could smell it when I stepped outside my door! I realize it's to be used in very small amounts since I'm not looking to make Fritos, just using it as an additive.

TIA

Yep Huck, it's fragrant. I agree it smells like Fritos corn chips. My 3ml bottle is barely used, but I wouldn't be without it for RY4.

I needed it for the Fig Newtons that Bryon updated. I think you have it in your Homemade Cheesecake, too. I'm gonna play later. Extra day off this week! Thanks, HIC.

I'm sure you've heard, but: AP is INCREDIBLY STRONG. 1 drop goes a LONG WAY. Some folks even dilute it 10:1. I just make sure I'm careful... :)

Yup, it's strong stuff.

hFBA2A1F6

some dox on it:

Acetyl Pyrazine 5% PG

taste description:
at 10.00 ppm. Roasted, nutty, bready and yeasty, with popcorn and corn chip nuances
good for graham gracker flavors (enhancer)
Mosciano, Gerard P&F 17, No. 1, 41, (1992)

CAS # 22047-25-2
FEMA # 3126

can use up to 10.0000 ppm in the flavor. (refers to the pure acetyl pyrazine crystals, not the diluted product we sell here)

Yes, that's parts per million.. ;)

First time I used it, is the only time my family complained about my vape. No...sorry...the second time.
The first time was just from vaping Mt.Baker "rootbeer float" - that shit stunk up the whole damned house.
But yes, AP has a VERY strong smell - get in in your mix and close it up!!

Not sure if anyone else makes it - I've bought it a couple places, but it was TFA every time..

At first, I was like YUCKY!!! And then I was like PIU (aka peeyew)... and then, I was like...oh! Holy macaroni!!! deliciousness!!! because Wingsfan told me to add it to ry4d, and now I like to bathe in it.

8-12% ry4 double
1 drop ap per 5 mls

Steve uses it at 8%
I'm wasteful and like it at 12%

not unless it's for gingerbread..
it's too much of a nutty, popcorn bread.. at least for me..
not for a true melt in your mouth cake effect..

unless maybe a black walnut or other nut type cake..

Yeah, I just wanna whine about it. Cookies and cheesecake are fine, but I really want some light, fluffy cake without any custard notes. Of course I'll keep playing, but I don't have high hopes.

Hey, new member here.
I am just getting started making my own vape juice. I was wondering just what acetylpyrazine tastes like.

I usually like to mix cinnamon and some kind of berry flavors. But I thought I would play around with things a little.

How would you describe AP?

How would you describe AP?

Frito's if you use too much, I try to stay around 0.5-1% myself.

INW Biscuit & FA Cookie are a couple that have some AP "built in", and are quite good.

AP seems to do different things with different mixes IMO.
Could be enhancing nutty flavors or tobaccos, or adding a little sweetness.
Can also "morph" some other flavors into basically new ones.
Pretty handy if you go easy with it...
