Question about the Boreas

So I buy the Boreas. [thanks Scuba]
For 2 days I'm loving it. Awesome tank. On day 3, after a rewick, it starts pouring juice out the airholes. What the hell?
Airholes covered by cotton.....check.
All o-rings in place.....er....
You know that o-ring in the base, the one that everyone says has a propensity to fall out and to be sure not to lose it?
I lost it.
In my defense, I did have the tank for 3 whole days before I lost it.
So my question is this: Does anyone know where I can get spares of that exact size o-ring? Not that I will lose the last one...but.....I'll lose the last one.

Thanks,

John Q

Good call, ej. Subtank Supply has a Boreas o-ring kit for $6.00
I really wanted a bunch of that one o-ring instead of a full kit, but I'll take what I can get. The email person is very nice too.

So, how would I get the kit, besides emailing STS?

Why not check the Boreas thread? Yeah, it's from here, to eternity long, but look into o-ring sizes there, maybe. I know @AmandaD has purchased o-rings from O-rings and More, but I don't know the sizes. Would likely be cheaper, and bulk qty.

Either do what Huckleberried says and find the size and order bulk, or contact STS via email and ask if he could sell you a pack of only the base o ring. Rob is a really nice guy (the guy behind STS) and super customer service driven. Im sure if you ask him nicely he will hook you up. STS prices are a little higher than the big retailers, but I always go to them first for new tanks because the great customer service more than makes up for it.

Just an example of it, I bought an Alleria rta from STS, and when it came I noticed that mine had sharp edges and some burrs on the deck. Not the biggest problem on earth, but everyone else was raving about how great the quality of theirs was. So I emailed STS and talked to Rob, and immediately he offered to send me the newer version with rounded knurling and what not, totally for free, without having to send back the first one.

I did email STS. Rob is his name? Super nice guy.
I did explain that I only needed the base o-rings, but was willing to take what I could get. He answered that he'd throw in some extra deck o-rings with the kit. whoops. I fired back that it wasn't the deck o-rings I wanted, it was the base o-ring. After that, radio silence.
They shipped, so I'll see when they get here.

Top cap 18 x 1
Glass tank seals (2) 24 x 1
Bottom of chimney stem 10 x 1

12x1 - at least these are the ones that break, so I ordered a bunch!
