Question about the eleaf 50W

My question is: when increasing the wattage, is the voltage supposed to increase with it, and vice versa?

I'm currently using the eleaf 50W with a nautilus mini (1.8ohm) but I'm going to upgrade to a kanger subtank mini so I can start sub ohming. However, I've noticed that people use high wattage and low voltage when sub ohming. But with my 50W mod, I can't have one low and one high. Is this normal for the eleaf 50W?

Example: The mod won't let me set the wattage to 20W and voltage to 4V. When set to 20W, it automatically sets the voltage to 6.1V.

The IStick is variable voltage or variable wattage. You select which one you want to set, and it automatically takes care of the other according to the resistance of the coil. You can't set both manually.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have a nautilus mini attached at the minute. If I bought the subtank mini and attached it, would it detect the 0.5 ohms and display low voltage against high wattage automatically?

In a word, yes. Someone far more knowledgeable than I will chime in, but basically wattage adjusts the voltage to match the ohm load of the coil. For example, 10w on my istick 20 reads 4.3 v on a 1.8ohm coil. On a 2.2 ohm coil 10 watts reads 4..7v. Does that make sense? Lower ohms means less volts needed for higher wattage. However u cant adjust them seperately, they adjust each other depending on the resistance.

dont forget when you sub ohm, you use about 2-4 tomes as much juice as you did on a 1.8 ohm tank, so learn to DIY

man I'm tellin ya you do go through the juice in a SubTank. I'm really glad I always made my own juice.

This is why I can't figure out the local brick and mortars. They push old tech and cut their own throats on the juice biz because only so many people will diy, no matter how easy it is.

I just mixed a 100ml of 6 different flavors and 2 nic levels in about a half hour. 600ml total and as everyone subohms and chainvapes, it'll be gone in 2 weeks at most. 3 people.
