I have a question....say you mixed a juice and you let it sit for a week....and you tasted it,and you wanted to tweak it a bit and add a little more of this and that.......can you make your adjustments and then say vape it the next day,and get a fair idea of what the juice will taste like or do you need to make your adjustment and let it sit for a week, before you vape it to get a fairish idea of the true flavor...

I have found that you can add it and vape it to get close. If you wait for three hours for second try you will get closer to the end results and if you wait three days it will be right on the flavor or very close depends on how much % to flavors you have. If you have very low % to flavors you can shake and vape and is very good after three hours with most flavors.

I have tweaked a recipe and vaped it immediately. Found no difference in taste 24 hours later.

Disclaimer: Just my personal opinion from by own experience with tweaking a DIY Batch.

It really depends on the flavoring. It all should get you closer...but a day is usually good...but it depends. It's all personal cloreferance and what you are going for.

Like on...if you are, let's say adding more strawberry...sure, maybe you are closer in an hour or three. If you are lets say adding more custard, Tabacco, or flavor that needs acouple days.

It also depends on the complexity/number of flavors in the mix. Let's say you are just using Vienna cream and Fuji FA. That's only two flavor profiles...so waiting an hour or three will be close, but you will notice a touch of the Apple zing will drop tomorrow as compared to toady.

Now let's say you mixed Fuji/Vienna cream/caramel/marshmallow/obaoba/lemon Sicily FA. Sure adding more Fuji FA the taste will zing at that three hour mark...but three days later you may see no difference.

Of course this comes down to testing your mixes. My preferance is that I test the next day or two, then at day 5 and day 10. Others test more rigorously. I used to test daily to learn how my flavors where playing with each other. To be honest, at this point I typically don't test anymore until after a week because I only mix at a 2-3 week rotation and don't have time to shake and vape...so if it's not good after 1-3 weeks then there is something wrong with my mix (but it could have been great in the first three days...but my recipie book is designed for a -2-3 week rotation).

Chrispdx, funny thing happened upon first tweak with adding the Pineapple had an immediate change when I tried to increase the Pineapple the change was that I sort of muted the other flavors but after sitting for maybe 12 hours it has improved but I still need to up the percentages on the other flavors or which one I want dominant. More complex you get more time for changes to take hold I assume.

Thanks for your input!

I'm about to do just that tonight.
I'm mixing a second batch of a recipe I made Thursday at a different viscosity to mix them & try to get a better final product.
I ain't about throwin' anything away.:)

I have found depending on how drastic or subtle the change is or changes are will determine how long it takes to really know. Also it depeneds on the complexity of your original recipe and how you prepared it. I use a mixer which cuts down any need for aging. But as they say YMMV.

Good Luck to all the new DIY'ers
