Question on VANDY VAPE BSKR BERSERKER MTL coils

I am a relatively new vaper. I have a few SMOK devices, the G-Priv 2 and a V9. I also have a Nord and an Innokin T18 ll. I have started to mix my own e-juice and liking it, although I can’t get the flavor on par with pre-made mixes. However, like learning a musical instrument, it takes practice.
I have found that I prefer MTL over DTL. But what I don’t like are the smaller tanks. I vape 9mg and my wife vapes 0mg.
Since we live in Yuma, Arizona, the summers are brutal with temps spiking to 118. This year we are getting out of here mid June and returning after Labor Day. It is time for our kids to house us for a bit. I am going to start rebuilding tanks.
I am interested in the Berserker Kit. The spare coils come 1.5 ohms and 1.8 ohms. Can someone explain what the difference are and maybe suggest the better of the two?
Also, when I start using NicSalts should I mix it at the 9% or double it to 18%, as some posts suggest.
If anyone can give me insight on these questions I sure would appreciate it.

It uses pre-made coils and is not rebuildable. There's not much difference between a 1.5 and a 1.8. you can apply slightly more power to the lower resistance 1.5 and get a bit more vapor production.

What are you vaping now in the Nord and the Innokin? Are you looking to increase your nic intake?

Yes, that is the kit I am looking at. In the Nord and the Innokin I am using 9mg and I would not mind increasing a bit. The 9mg of freebase is a little harsh so I was thinking of getting a bottle of nic salts. Is it a fact that I can double the 9mg? I read that I should double the nicotine with salts but isn’t nicotine just nicotine no matter if it is freebase or salts?

Nic salts have added acid to lower the ph of nic and make it smoother, allowing higher mg without being harsh. Some people do not like salts and some say they have a negative reaction to the benzoic acid. If you have not tried salts pick up some 20-25 mg juice and run it in the Nord with a 1.4 coil. "I love salts" by Mad Hatter makes a 25 that you could try.
As for mixing with it you can make it whatever you want. There is no rule, just personal preference. I mix using both to get the right amount of throat hit and the nic level I want, 9-10 freebase with 4-5 salt.
