Question regarding coils

Ok so right now I have a single parallel coil built with 22ga kanthal tested at .18ohms. If I added another parallel to my RDA would the resistance increase or decrease? Unless if I heard wrong a dual coil lowers the resistance if built right, by almost half? so if thats the case I should just stick to the single coil being that the ohms could drop below .10?

You are correct in your assumption. Assuming that the second parallel coil you built was identical to the first, it would drop to around 0.09ohms, give or a take .

steam-engine.org is a really good site to calculate what kind of coil you would like to build, how hot it will be, ohms law calculator, clapton builder, etc. If you go to the coil builder section you can put in the gauge wire you are using, you can select whether it will be parallel dual coil or single coil, you can put in your desired resistance and it will give you how many wraps you will need to achieve said resistance.

Be aware, that the steam engine is just a guideline. Always check your build with an Ohm reader!
oh of course. my mod has an ohm reader :D

Edit: I haven't built another coil yet. I'm waiting for my starter kit to come in to start making my own juice.. I've a bottle that was given to me though its very potent stuff. 24mg nicotine in a 15ml bottle to hold me until Monday.
