Hey guys at VU, I've just started vaping in an attempt to quit smoking, hopefully it works out at the end.

Anyway I went ahead and purchased an iJust 2 (recommended by a friend) and it's been great thus far, however I think I may have screwed up and messed up the OCC inside for some reason, been getting dry hits with no juice flavour whatsoever. I was thinking of changing to a Kangertech Subtank Mini RBA deck to go with my iJust 2 mod, does anyone know if this would work? The coil I'm going to use with it is roughly 0.5 ohms (checked with my friend's M80 mod)

What brand/type OCC are you using, and how do you think you messed it up?

I'm using the standard one that came with the iJust 2, 0.3 ohms. I didn't know about having to do anything to the occ at first, might have burnt the cotton inside the occ hence the dry hits.

This coil has been used about a week or so!

Should work, without any problems.

With a fresh coil I always pop in a couple drops of liquid at each wicking hole, fill the tank, and let it sit for 10 minutes before attempting to vape. I also start every coil at the lowest recommended wattage and slowly turn it up until I reach the point I intend to vape it at. If you didn't go through these steps of "priming" your coil, it's indeed possible you could have burnt the wicking and, unless you're able to re-wick the coil, it's trash.

The odd thing is that you say you've been using it for a week, so I don't think priming the coil is a problem as much as it possibly having worn out, unless you vaped it dry at some point. However "a week" doesn't tell us as much as "about 30 ml," as some people vape a lot more liquid than others. There's also the matter of what kind of liquid - heavily sweetened ones will gunk up a coil faster than those with mild or fruit flavors, for example.

No clue if the Subtank RBA fits the iJust tank, but if @Neunerball says it does, I'd say he's as trustworthy a source as they come...

Have I misunderstood something here? I was under the impression that the OP wants to pair his iJust2 mod with a Subtank Mini and it's RBA. I don't know if the RBA would fit the iJust tank.

@Neunerball - I guess this could be taken both ways. It does seem like OP is talking about the iJust 2 mod (which I assume comes with an iJust tank), I'm confused as to whether he intends to buy the whole Subtank or just the RBA to try to stick into the iJust...

I had an iJust2 and it worked great. Sounds like you have a bad coil and replacing it should fix your issue.

Sorry for not being clear haha I intended to stick the subtank w the iJust 2 mod, which I have already done. It works great though, doesn't heat up as easily as the iJust tank and produces way more smoke!

Pity that I'm in Singapore, any form of OCC is hard to come by here because there're bans on vapes and stuff, its ridiculous. A set of OCC (comes in packs of 5) is like, $60. I can get a new tank w that amount of money.
