During the QuakeCon 2018 keynote, id Software and Avalanche Studios showed off new Rage 2 gameplay and revealed many new elements of the game's story.
The bulk of the footage involves protagonist Walker breaking into the Eden Space Center and calling down a satellite from space. It's an extension of what was shown off during E3, but with new information and footage sprinkled in.
The wingstick, a boomerang-like projectile weapon, returns to Rage 2. An upgraded version of the wingstick can even target and kill enemies around corners by showing a trajectory line prior to throwing the weapon.
