i have road tourettes. Especially when im on my bike, anyone that does something stupid i immediately flip. i had a lady riding my ass once, and im always speeding. she eventually went to pass and i kept accelerating to block her from passing while giving her the one finger salute. It went on for a few blocks.

My husband says "nucular"... it drives me batshit. He's also far too prone to "excape", but I finally exorcised "warsh" from his vocabulary by laughing at him everytime he said it.
But my most recent pull-all-my-hair-out pet peeve is the homonym discreet/discrete. They are two different words... with TOTALLY DISCRETE MEANINGS!!!!!!!

Try the Cust Svc operators for Comcast... I'm not sure they're even on this PLANET.
On the other hand... the Cust Svc folks in the CapitalOne call center are the very DEFINITION of "Minnesota Nice." Which accent may sound a little funny to those of us down here in the south... but AT LEAST YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THEM, AND THEY CAN UNDERSTAND YOU!!!

@POSE when i was 13 I saw the movie biker boys and decided i was going to go out and try the stunts on my dirt bike. I tried to do this.
I didnt think it through that i was not on smooth pavement and did it in a bumpy field. I was solid for about 3 seconds. I fell broke my arm in 2 places and had to have surgery to fix it. The bone didnt puncture the skin but you could clearly see it attempting to poke through my skin.I ran inside crying in pain and the first thing i heard was "TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF YOU'RE TRACKING MUD IN THE HOUSE"
My arm is still crooked from that mistake.

I had a guy cut me off so I gave him the bird. The asshole tried running me off the road by slamming on his breaks while I was behind him. When I finally passed him he tried to quickly pull out into my lane and side swipe me.
damn, you should of called the police. My favorite are the people who make eye contact with you and then pull out in front of you anyway.

I read they have an issue..when I watch youtube through a proxy I have few problems.
I had a problem with a Capital One cs a few years ago.
The woman couldn't explain what part of the minimum payment was interest and which went to pay off the principal.
So I asked for her supervisor but the woman was hesitant to get her.
I used to train dogs so the word "bitch" isn't a bad word to me...
I told the young lady, "Don't worry, I'm not going to bitch about you."
She was a hard core TBN Network type Christian and got offended so she gave me hell.
When she finally got the supervisor (after my apology for my non-offense) the super didn't know the answer to my question either.

That must have been the same fucking moronic idiot who was determined to turn left in front of us from the right lane, and then after making the turn, pulled up just far enough so that we were on the RR tracks... and then just sat there. It's really lucky for that guy that my husband doesn't own a handgun, because he was ready to shoot that fuckhead DEAD.

I would have then bitched about her moralizing to a customer, to that supervisor.
But I've had to take my husband to school on the matter of cursing at people who you're trying to get some kind of help out of; once you curse even once, they completely shut off, shut down, and it will be a cold day in hell before they'll help you with ANYTHING. It's ridiculous, but it's always the case.

I did mention it, with an explanation of my unacceptable vocabulary,
and explained that in context it would have been hard to interpret my word as a personal insult.
It was a reassurance and I wasn't even angry about her ignorance. I was only trying to
decide how much I was going to pay on the balance..
But I did better than complain, I transferred the balance to another card
at 0% for 18 months and no fee.
I still use the cap one card but don't carry a balance with any card.

I feel bad for others. My bmw has xenon headlights and my bike has h.i.d.s. I absolutely hate when a car coming the other way has them but i sure do love driving a car/bike with them. You can see everything.

I agree with that (especially about drinking out of bottles that you share with others -- human mouths are PACKED with bacteria, and even worse, ENZYMES that will render whatever you just drank out of SPOILED in very little time) -- but when we have one pkg of dip with a scraping in it, and one new one... I'll open the new one and leave the scraping to him, because *I* didn't leave it that way, and I don't want the last little scraping at the bottom!

What bike do you have? I drive a 2016 Acura RLX and mine came with Xenon HIDs also..
I wouldn't buy a car without them. I second what you said, you can see everything and I feel very safe driving at night. But, have you guys been blinded, not by the blue bright xenons, but that guy that has his "regular" beams but on a lifted truck? Lots of those here in Texas, I just let them pass so my eyes can see again.

Cool. I noticed that when we pull into the driveway, the light on the garage door looks purple. I guess that's another great thing about having such a new truck -- 2016 -- it wasn't *brand* new, but it only had about 1500 miles on it -- it was used as a courtesy vehicle at the dealership, taking people to/from their car getting worked on there. But since it wasn't brand spanking new, we got a HELLACIOUS price on it.

Sweet. My favorite bike is the Repsol CBR. To me, Repsol > R1. I don't know sh- about bikes but I just love the sounds it makes, stock.
I like the older repsols when they were limited to 1000's now you can get a repsol anything. They probably make a repsol ruckus scooter now.

lol yeah Uncle, I second that, we absolutely should all share simple courtesy and respect to one another, in all walks of life, even for people with different religious/political views. That should be applied to both "Left" and "Right" politically as well. There's way too many hardheaded people out there that think they know best and won't listen to what others have to say, and when they listen, they instantly backlash and tell you why they "think" your wrong. . This site is a business, not a charity organization. You seek donations from users and sales from vendors, so a common goal for mods are to promote a healthy and friendly community. The grudge "oh, you don't like me, fine, find your money elsewhere" like how I used to be doesn't work for either side, it's rather immature and creates more division, but I'm grown and seems like others need to grow up too. My college education, wonderful friends I've met in my life, time in the military, my rags to riches story, experiences in life, and my dog has taught be to try to always be kind, let go of silly grudges, forgive and forget, and be more compassionate, it's better for everyone. TMI, yeah, this shit snowballed into something else lol, I was just trying to stay away from politics, especially here in VU since everyone's Republican moderator-wise but I would say that "The News" is who is to blame for most of it. I'm watching less and less of it. Other than the weather.

is still too damn cold. I used to be stationed in Alaska years ago but moved back to a place where there's 4 seasons, not 2. Personally, I can't stand the cold. Lips get chapped. Nose gets runny. Car won't start. Have to put on layers of clothes. Not for me.
Summer and fall are my favorite seasons.
