So, I was waiting to buy an authentic Rapter mech box from MCV. They were advertising them on the MCV facebook page for about $190us. All the us sellers were gouging at $270. Got word I might be able to get one directly from MCV in the Philippines, but never heard anything more about it. Really wanted to try one, so I thought screw it, and grabbed a clone for $24 bucks. Could always toss it in the re-cycle scrap bin.
Low and behold, this thing is actually a finely machined piece. Threads on the batt caps are accurate and smooth. The delrin top piece is also machined nicely with no gaps or overhangs. The 510 contact pin is friction fit or floating, so when you put the battery in that goes in under the 510, you don't screw in the batt cap until you seat the atomizer. After you seat the atty, screw down the battery cap so it's snug.
Don't know which Chinese company makes it, but whoever it is, does an incredibly good job. Was not expecting much, and really can't believe this is 24 dollars. Still plan on buying an authentic as soon as I can find one at a reasonable price.
With the Alliance rda and a .15 dual coil build, this box hits very well.
