Rayon wicking in an RDA

So, I've been playing around with Rayon (from Sally's Beauty Supply, Graham Cellucotton, 100% rayon) in my RDAs. I've been getting good results. Just as good as organic cotton in my opinion. I don't think I'm getting the best results I can though. It seems to go dry faster. It also seems like the end of my pulls are running dry, even after a fresh drip, at anything over 80 watts (on a Sig150 with my standard 0.3 ohm dual coil Nichrome 80 [9 wraps, 3mm ID]).

I've been installing it more or less like I would regular cotton. Same density, same leg length.

So, what don't I know about Rayon?

The one thing that comes to mind is that rayon actually shrinks a bit when wet, so you can stuff a bit thicker strip through your coils than cotton. Not a lot and you still don't want it too tight to wick, but it can be a little snugger than you're used to in the install.

@OBDave has a good point. This stuff will contract a bit after you soak it, so don't be afraid to pack a little more in there. Other than that, it's performed well for me. My favorite wick material so far is still Drago, but they need to make it so that it's not such a pain to work with. If they get that worked out that stuff is a home run.
