I am thinking about a RBA for my Mvp2 energy.

What is a easy RBA for a newbie.
I was looking at the Phoenix was thinking if trying a micro coil 28 ga. Kanthal.
Any suggestions or thoughts will be appreciated thank you.

I am sure you can get a good result with a KFL+ as they are really easy to build.

I just took mine apart, removed the old coil and wick, cleaned and dried the components and wrapped new coil, installed it, inserted the new wick and buttoned it up and filled in 30 minutes.

I use 32 gauge Kanthal but 28 is great as well.

Wow. I remember you could ask that question on Facebook.

I'd suggest something with holes through the post. It aves having to wrap the wire around the threads. Some of the cheaper RDAs sacrifice this option

(Oh I just saw you asked rBa. My bad for not reading props)

The MVP has a 3 amp limiter, so you're restricted to resistances at 1.2Ω or above.

There are several RDAs with the name Phoenix. If it's a single coil RDA, a "micro" coil (typically 1/16"/1.55mm ID or less) would be 10 wraps of 28ga, calculated with a 3mm leg length.
If it's a dual coil, well... you really don't want to do duals with 28ga for 1.2Ω... as you'd have two, 20 wrap coils. 30, 31 or 32 would be more practical.

Please click on my second sig line hyperlink. The article contains information and links to articles, threads, charts and an excellent coil model calculator... most of which, you will find very useful. All of which, useful should you go into unregulated mods.

Just get yourself a decent KFL+ clone and build it at around 1.4 ohm. I do 8-9 wraps on a 2.4mm micro screwdriver.

Tap'd from my Nexus 7 v2

Heck yes!

It will take you longer at first............

A lot longer especially if you have a cat trying to help you perform the task.

Just take you time and get it done to your satisfaction.

It took me about 15 builds on the KFL to get to this point.

And by the way, something that none of the videos teach you.

Do your build under a very bright light.

It makes all the difference in the world!

The Expromizer looks good. Slightly bigger build deck. Might help a new vaper

State o ' flux thanks for the tips.
I will try a single micro coil.

@chris.ardito.3 here's a link to grimmgreen's video on the kayfun. It you want you can scroll forward to 11 mins in. If you follow it you will build a working kayfun np.
(I want to just post the link but I think the actual video is going to show so if someone knows how to just post the link tell us and I'll edit it if it's not too late)

I used the phoenix styles. http://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10005100/1400500. I like this better for ease of rebuild compared to the pheonix. It doesn't have holes in the posts but the screws are big enough to capture the wire.
I use this with my mvp 2. The kayfun's are very easy to rebuild and are my favorite tanks with my mvp's.

For a noob, I'll give the same suggestion I give every other.... Rsst. Practically impossible to short it out. Huge hassle in that eliminated when dealing with mesh or cable, allowing you to concentrate any aggregation on hotspots. Seeing as the trend seems to be going towards tanks now, maybe kayfun or similar style.

Is a kayfun lite clone any good or just get the real deal.
Because I a black one in ebay and I thought it would look nice on my mvp2 energy

If you're looking for a rebuildable dripper, here's my sugggestion: Helios clone with with the optional single slot ring. It's very, very easy to build on, has a wide open deck, easy wire insertion, etc. The single slot ring allows for single coil builds; great for regulated devices that won't handle sub-ohm builds (not that all dual coil builds are sub-ohm...).

If you want a tank style RBA, I'd agree with the Kayfun crowd.

If this is your first rebuilding experience, I'd start with a dripper 'till you get the coiling and wicking of the coils down, and then move on to an RBA.

There are lots of different kayfun clones on the market. Some of them are better than others. Buy your first one from a reliable dealer, and make sure the version you're buying gets good reviews.

Kayfun lite clones have a tighter air draw than the kayfun 3.1s, and they can leak a little more, especially if you don't get the fill screw sealed.
Kayfun 3.1s have a better draw, but are harder to fill since most of them have fill ports on the side that just don't work.

Either way, if you're buying one that gets good reviews, you won't go wrong.

Cavediver I was looking at that one. That's a nice one to.
The one I was looking at was at http://101vape.com/rebuildable-atomizers-tanks/308-black-kayfun-lite-plus-clone.html

I currently use a mvp2...

I recommend using a kayfun lite, or kayfun 3.1es which is what I use now. I use triple twisted 32 guage @ 1.3 ohm. I use a RDA on it as well, and I recommend using a 22mm atty. Anything other than this, and you build area is too small, and it can't hold a lot of juice. Too many good cheap attys available from fasttech.. As a newbie vaper, you will find out there is not much different from "authentic" products and "clones", or replica's as I like to call them.

Happy vaping.
