I'm considering getting an rda but it is a highly mysterous world to me. I have a few questions

1. which rda should I get for my setup? I have a snow wolf 200w

2. how do I know how many drops to use?

3. how do I know when those drops are over and its time for redripping?

4. about how frequently am I going to be dripping drops?

5. How much upkeep is generally involved?

thank you for your time

I'm a relatively new dripper, but I have discovered:
1. I've only owned one rda, a used derringer, but I like it. Simple to build on and use, very few "parts."
2. Generously saturate your wicks, but not to the point where it comes out of the airways.
3. The dry hit from hell and profuse coughing told me until I learned from the taste that I was about to run dry. (That little lesson doesn't take long to sink in, trust me. Lol!)
4. I usually get 8-10 good pulls before I need to re-drip, it really depends on your vape style.
5. Much easier to maintain an rda than a tank. Fewer parts, easier to rebuild and wick, much better flavor, no glass....but that's just my opinion. ;)

1. Flavor or Clouds? I use a Mutation 4 xs, it's a flavor chasing atty. Depends on what you want, there are a lot of options so do some research for what you think is your best fit.

2. That will all depend on how much wick you use/ have room for. You can tell when your wick is saturated.

3. What ^ said. Also, if you want to take an extra step to avoid dry hits, check your wick after every few pulls, you can see where it starts to dry out.

4. That will all depend on how much wick you can use and your power level you vape at. I have been using a .4 ohm coil at about 50 watts and I can get about 15 or so, sometimes less, sometimes more, pulls before I need to drip again.

5. And not a lot. Re wick once a day or so. I'm lazy so I wait till my coil gunks up before I do. Dry burn, run under water, and like new coil again.

I didn't think I would get into dripping but now I'm starting to build my own coils and whatnot and I'm really enjoying it. I use a tank when I'm out driving or at work so my RDA only really gets used when I'm at home.

Hello and welcome to VU bud. I am going to link an ohm's law calculator and the steam engine coil building tool to help you along as you learn....there is a certain set of threads around here that I I share with everyone asking this question...if you know some of the stuff in them already than great...if not, even better. It's just easier to link these threads over and over than spend hours retyping everything. I hope they help and if you have more questions after that I am here and around as much as I can be to help and there are many others more than happy to do the same...here is wishing you the best of luck on your new vaping journey. :)
