I have an ITASE MVP while at a local vape shop today I was told that I could drip on my box mod at something around 1.2 ohm, my first question would be is this possible? Naturally out of curiosity I used a coil builder app with the following info 26ga Kanthall A1 with a 3mm id. and 9 wraps would but the ohms at 1.18. if this is possible would this have improved flavor over the nautilus that current use until my 70w box gets here.

Yep. It is possible and flavor can be better. I've done it on my MVP V2.

You definitely can do a mid-range (1.2-1.5 ohm) build for that box! You might also enjoy the kanger subtank mini, with the 1.2 ohm coil it gives a really nice clean vape and then when you get your higher wattage box you can switch to the 0.5 ohm coil and/or use the rebuildable deck to make whatever you want!

Should be better. Remember mvp has a 3amp battery and 1.18 is right on the border.

since the mvp is lower wattage you will need to build with a really thin kanthal like 30 or 32 guage and i would sugest a single coil because the ramp up time on a dual at 12 watts would be forever. if you have the 30 watt version you could parobably do a dual coil
