ok never had an rda
have a griffin and crius. SO I want to have an rba for the vapocolypse
But I hva eno clue where to start
so i figure id ask for some suggestions

i would want one that is
inexpensive - id be fine with a clone - something under $30hell under $20 would be better

easy to build on - velocity deck seems easy to me

something that can do single and dual coil

adjustable airflow.
I find the griffin and crius have excellent airflow wide open

and i guess something that is just overall easy to use

oh and 22m would be nice

looking for flavor over clouds

Thanks in advance for any help

rba? I reckon you mean RDA?
ive had most of whats available, my top5 in order:

1- petri- best combination of flavor and vapor out there, easy to build on great connection for tc, and can handle any build.
2-tugboat v3- easy to build on, easy to convert to bottom feed, can throw out major clouds if you want to open to top airflow, and side or you can close the side afc and open the top or vice versa and run a pure flavor rda.
3-aeolus lite or Aeolus v2- pure flavor chasing favorite with decent vapor production
4-tugboat v2- was replaced by the petri, but still one of my favorites for a mechmod, with plenty of aftermarket parts
5- kennedy comp series- phenominal cloud maker, with brilliant flavor

honoeable mention- the bambino, the indestructible, and for basic 24g or 26g microcoils, the derringer is a great little atty on anything.

negative- all are dual coil only with the exception of the indestructible and the derringer- The petri can run a single coil as well

a good single coil option, would be NarDa, I run one on my reo and love it, its a little tighter of a draw than I'm accustomed to, but the flavor is pure insanity.

edit-- was saying tmsq but I am wrong
Twisted Messes Squared will run single or dual coil- killer airflow for either one, great build deck, will take Macro Micro Triceretops coils or regular micro just fine, and is a great flavor atty or cloud machine. really a great all around rda.
edit:
hobo customs drifter-- this one is great as a flavor chaser!!!! single or dual coil option and a fantastic flavor machine

Petri v2 for sure. Make sure to go with the v2 though, not a huge difference but the postholes are much larger, I think the clone is about $10.

TM² is nice, but I just have the clone and the bad one, if you do go with a clone for this one grab the Tobeco version, it's supposed to be true 1:1, the one I got the positive post is poorly placed. I wouldn't put it on par with the Petri for flavor though, just seems to get too much air unless I close it way down.

possibly

how does the airflow adjust. theres just holes in the chimney. what do you od cover the holes with your fingers while you vape?

The air isn't adjustable on the petri. With both open its not overly airy, but then I only run it dual coil. Not sure what you'd do for single coil.

You can run a long legged single coil through the center and fold the legs back into the posts. I haven't done it but seen quite a few pictures on instagram.

You don't. I thought the double hole was going to be too much for me, but I use it on a noisy cricket and it's perfect. I have a different clone coming with the single hole option though. We'll see how that goes. Generally I like more restricted airflow, but the build on the NC I have going fills up with vapor so fast that it feels perfect. I do use a different drip tip though, that's what dials it right in. With the dotmod style tip it's too airy, with the one I have that's about 1mm tighter at the connection it pinches it just right.

Look into the Mad Hatter v2. Its Velocity deck, Mutation X airflow, and the Mad Hatter flip top. Its basically 3 rdas in 1.

I'd have to say the Petri V2 and the NarDa are the best flavor attys I have.

Have just about every good atty made and keep going back to these two.

Another one which is actually really good is the Manta V2, I forgot about it since I been using the two mentioned the most lately. When the Manta-2 first came out I bought four and had one on different squonkers. You can cut the airflow to nothing or MTL, it's all good.

The Derringer is also a good flavor atty, but tends to leak a little through the side airflow if you're not careful, they didn't make the AF slots quit high enough.

The Stumpy is a hell of a great atty, but I can't get the flavor some folks claim.

I like RDA from time to time, been quite happy with number of the 25mm tanks, Boreas and Supreme are top of list currently. For RDA, go to is Velocity, with a few backups. Picked up Kennedy 24 over weekend and am quite impressed. It is the Comp style so airflow does not open up as much as velocity, but right about where I tune velocity to. Flavor and vapor are top grade, I am able to fill without taking cap of, good bonus.

If you want a Velocity deck why not just get one of the Velocity clones? I think mine is Tobeco and it's a nice one. Also have a Derringer and two Bambinos. Both great choices. I like the Bambino but damn its a tight fit with some bigger coils.

Yes, have Velocity great device. Something about Kennedy 24 is working very well. Little longer to build but once done kicking ass. Thinking about Tsunami 24 maybe even current one. Majority are tanks, and fairly happy with 2 good droppers and some in the graveyard..lol

ok thanks all for the input
I went with a petri clone
its the one with only 2 airholes and the thumb screws
$15 shipped from ebay from inside the US. so it supposed to be here in a few days. I know I could get it from fasttech for 5 bucks less but then id wait months for it.

i may still get a tsunami, but I want to play with this since it will be my first venture into rdas. you an never be too prepared for the vapocolypse

SO i got the petri v2 clone in. Its like half v1.5 half v2. It has the 2 air holes but the screws are not the thumb screws.

No big deal

The flavor on this - is better then my griffins
BUT
installing dual coils is not as easy as a velocity deck
and the air holes or something whistles a bit which is annoying

SO Now I want advice on a second RDA

I want flavor like the Petri clone but with a velocity deck or a set of screws for each coil. I have seen other configurations other then a velocity deck that has 2 screws per coil. And I prefer it to not be noisy. ANd yes I would probably rather buy a clone

SO what do you all suggest as the second RDA

A so horney rda clone is ridiculously versatile...and hits like a train for flavour and clouds..after I bought my first one 7 weeks ago...I immediately bought 6 more to experiment with(and replace all my other attys)...given 2 away to friends when they saw what I'd done with mine...six air slots with each one fully adjustable for single upto 6 coil builds ..
Downside for you..it measures 23mm dia...

My old attys...

All replaced with so horney clones..

I love to experiment with wicking so if you Google "remote wicking " you'll find some pics and my bit of a tutorial on how I wick 6 coils to make it impossible to get burnt hits...and I'm still on the SAME cotton 7 weeks later lol..and have fun whatever you choose..
