I'm playing with both single and double. I want approximately .2 and .4 for each. I will try both Clapton and regular kanthal. The builds will be on a griffin and crown tanks. what gauge wire, ID and number of wraps will get me those. who knows I might try another dripper down the road.

thanks the inputs and amount of wire it will save me.

how do you use steam E. for two types of wire twisted
Estimate. it's a guideline it's not fact. Grab yourself an Ohmmeter and use that before you install (or a good Regulated mod that will read for you, though an Ohmmeter is cheaper and better).

When I was sticking with simple twisted wire I wanted something about .2Ω maybe slightly less. I realized 24g SS was getting me about .15Ω and 26gSS was getting me ~.23Ω iirc (been a while) so I went with a strand of each and it came out to .17Ω which worked well (and safe) enough for me.

Trial and Error is the key to vaping, sometimes you just end up throwing away a coil, big whoop wire is cheap and getting it just right is worth the effort, just give it a go, install, test and see what you get.

So plug into steam engine the two options for twisted and guestimate in between, I've found it'll not be right in between but a bit lower. Best I can do for ya.

I have a DNA 200 wizmec. I want to twist a Ni200 and kanthal . how would i put that in steam engine wire wiz

Don't do it.

Ni200 is for TC, Kanthal is for Power (in general). your Ni200 will heat up extremely fast and the Kanthal will get almost nothing. Ni/Ti should be kept to themselves for TC uses. SS/Kanthal/Nichrome can be used for power modes and SS TC also, and Kanthal if you have the Hohmwrecker G2 mod.

But eyah, you're idea just won't work well. You'll have a spiral of heated wire and a spiral of unheated wire doing nothing but screwing up the Ni if you're trying to use it in TC.

Nickel and titanium needs to used in TC to use it safely. If you want to twist kanthal, stick with that. Like Jerus said...steam engine will get you a good ball park, but needs to be verified before using. I toss mine on an ohm meter (~$10) when mounting my coils, and verify again on my mod when tweaking the coils. In TC make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions for locking resistance of Ni and Ti wire before you use it.

i get that i have a dna 200 aand ohm reader i was just woundering if i could twist Ka1 and ni200 or 316Lss and ni200 and run it on TC

Maybe? It's just such a big difference that I doubt it would have good results. It might mess up the TC, and I'm failing to see a reason why as the added kanthal likely wouldn't heat at all with the nickel being there, so it'd just be filling space.

Lol Ok thanks guys. Bad idea got it and reason is to bump my ohms up I was hopeing
NP, yeah there'd be such a big difference in resistance that the current would likely ignore the kanthal nearly completely and just go through the Ni200 resulting in basically no change. Same idea that claptons work on, the claptoning is such high resistance that the current ignores it so a say 24g kanthal coil will be the same as a 24g kanthal claptoned with 36gk coil.
