Recommendations on subs to use on a eleaf tc40w?

I have been using a aspire mini nautilus for a while now and have never really explored the world of sub tanks. recently my interests have sparked and was just looking for any recommendations on a good place to start with a sub on a tc40w? I've read so many conflicting reviews on different subs that I thought I might ask others with more experience than I?

my only experience with subtanks is with the kanger subtank mini... but I love it on my istick TC 40w....

I realize that I can't give you the information that you're requesting as I'm not experienced with other sub tanks but I've enjoyed mine and figured I'd pass along that information lol

Welcome to VU, btw...

40W is quite a low power for the recent subohm tanks which usually operate around 70W. I have had a Subtank Mini as well and I really enjoy it. Maybe you can look into Smok TCT. My suggestion is to check out reviews for subtanks that came before May 2015.

If you're wanting to get something inexpensive to try subohming, I suggest picking up an isub. Less than $15 and the coils are fairly cheap too, might not be the best by a lot of folks standards but if you're on a tight budget like I am it works just fine. Don't have any other tanks to compare it to, nice thing is it doesn't need a ton of power, around 20-25 w is where I vape mine at.

I can highly recommend the OBS T-VCT tank. The Ni200 coils perform well between 20-35 watts in TC mode. The .5 ohm kanthal coils work great from 20-35 watts in power mode. The tank is top fill, with juice and air flow control, and has never leaked a drop

The Kanger Subtank Mini has loads of different coils at reasonable prices and it comes with an RBA head. The drip tip can get hot though, so I use a plastic POM tip.

The SMOK TCT has some very good reviews but it does not have a rebuildable head. You also might want to use a different drip tip on it.
I'll post a couple reviews from two goofy reviewers because I didn't get one myself. I'm a rebuildable only vaper.

The eGo One Mega is another option. You really want to use the CLR heads and not the CL heads. All the heads come ready to use but the CLR heads wick much much better and are rebuildable.. if you like having that option.

These are all good tanks for normal watt temperature control mods and none of them are prone to leaking.
To tell you the truth, I don't enjoy high watt vaping. It eats up too much juice, drains the heck out of batteries, and doesn't make vaping any more enjoyable. That's just personal preference. Every vaper has their comfort zone. It's great fun to watch videos of people blowing clouds at 80 watts, but it's not for everybody. I'm vaping on a 60w mod with an eGo One Mega using a titanium coil right now. 30w at 480°.

My lady loves her little ego one tank on her 40 watt, the .5 coils are amazing and the heads you can rebuild are easy enough. Great with nickel and she loves it and I believe they are running about 15 bucks.. The goblin mini looks really cool on it also, but this is just an rta no pre-built coils.

I have used a couple of tanks on my I stick 40 tc and find that the RTA I use most with best results is the Lemo 2. I am underwhelmed with the Kanger subtank mini. I tried horizontal coils and vertical as well as nickel and building my own coils including nickel.
The Lemo puts out flavor and vapor the best, I run a .8 ohm build with spaced nichrome 28 ga. The biggest surprise to me is how the Emow tanks work with the Istick (.8 - 1.2 ohm coil heads). I found I don't need 50 to 100 watts and can vape with under 20 ohms with great results.

Do you know if the the Lemo 2 vapes any better than the Lemo 1? I absolutely love the vape from the Lemo 1. I haven't bothered to try the Lemo 2 because I heard they can leak.

I can't comment on the Lemo 2 but the V1 is also much better than the Kanger Subtank.

I havent had one leak on my Lemo 2 since i got it. Just close air adjustment before filling, I use needle tip plastic bottles to fill it

It's not on an 40w but I use an arctic with the Ni200 heads on a d2, but I leave it between 30-35J so the TC40w should have plenty of power to run it. The Arctic tanks are 20-30 bucks online and are well built.
