Reducing Arcing

Hey all, this is my first post/thread here so take it easy. I was recommended to join here after cluttering up r/electronic_cigarette with posts.
Anyways, I've recently picked up a couple Noisy Crickets. First they were $8 on ecig.com, then they were $5. But I digress. I've been using the NC for about three weeks now with the Fat Daddy Vapes Upgrade Kit and a Geekvape Tsunami. I'm running a set of LG HD2's and a build of 0.55 ohms, so I know I'm within a safe amp building range. It's been awhile since I've owned a mech. The first one I owned was my first vape and after learning more about mech safety it's an absolute fucking miracle I didn't blow myself up with it (hot button, pitted batteries, yikes).
What I'm here to ask is how to maintain the life of my batteries/Noisy Cricket to get as much time as possible. I had some issues recently where the mod wouldn't fire, which I determined to be from improper maintenance, so I'm trying to take better care of it.
I've been scrubbing my threads with a toothbrush, cleaning the contacts with an eraser, but I still notice slight markings on the negative end of the battery that the switch contacts after a days use. It's small amounts, barely noticeable and I've been cleaning my contacts every battery change.
But is there anything I can do to reduce arcing so that I don't need to worry about cleaning my contacts daily? I've read a little about anti-oxidant compounds like Noalox but I figured it'd be best to consult ya'll before I invest in more products for my vape.
TL;DR: I clean my contacts with an eraser, still notice slight buildup on negative end of battery contacting switch. Looking for advice on reducing arcing for battery longevity.
Thanks.
