So to be honest, my attention span isn't long enough to learn the OHMs law and resistance etc. But I'm looking for a mod that can sub ohm without any complications (blowing up on my face). The local stores near my area (I'm in ontario, canada) are only selling clones. These are basically bootlegs right?

Any recommendations that would go well with sub ohming would be appreciated. I've tried looking for reviews online but not able to settle so hoping to get some feedback from anybody :)

Edit: Accidentally put this in unregulated section. Sorry!

Just FYI, there's no regulated mechanical mod. It's either a mechanical, or a regulated mod. The regulated mod has the electronics, in order to prevent accidents from happening (I hope :)).
Anyways, what is your budged? What size are you looking for? There are so many options available.

I thought wrong then :)

Definitely has a box mod nothing bigger then the smok cube ii.
Budget would be hopefully around $100 USD.
& I guess it wouldn't matter if it's regulated or non regulated as long as it is safe to use for sub ohm vaping.

Personally, I would think sigelei is probably one of the more trusted, make sure you get some good batteries though, Sony vtc4/vtc5 or Samsung 25r's

I will be honest, not wanting to learn ohms law and subohming are a TERRIBLE COMBINATION. Consider that information you are trying to avoid learning as part of the safety, the mod is an electronic device, ALL electronic devices can fail, 'they only do what you tell them to do'. So please, if not for yourself, for the sake of those of us who also get a bad reputation when something does go wrong, learn how to subohm safely, learn ohms law and how it applies, as well as battery safety.

I've tried. I think I'm just too dumb for it lol. I guess I will never be able to truly enjoy sub ohm vaping.. sad life hehe

Besides I thought the sigelei was a regulated VW mod

You don't have to have a college or trade level understanding of resistance and electricity, but you still should have a basic knowledge.

There's no real "buy this box and that tank and that's all the info you need". Even the pre-built coils that you can get require that same basic knowledge; pretty much every tank offers several different resistances for coils, from .15 to .8 for sub-ohm, and they all affect how you vape them and what you can use to vape them. And forget about building unless you want to end up as a statistic and/or in the news.

The actual principles are pretty simple. Keep at it and really give it a try if you're thinking about mods and sub-ohm coils.

Thanks and noted. Is this a good place to start?

That's one place of the many to start with.

Regarding a mod, there are several options. Dual 18650 mods Sigelei 100 Plus, Sigelei 150W, Sigelei 150W TC, IPV4S, IPV3LI. For single 18650 mods Sigelei 75W, or Evic VTC Mini (w/ firmware upgrade 75W). The disadvantage of the dual 18650 mods, you'll need a charger (recommend Xtar). The disadvantage of the single 18650 mods, you want to have at least 1 more battery for backup, in case you can't recharge via the USB connection.

Thank you everyone. It seems as if Sigelei has a lot of good words. Will be purchasing it as soon as possible. I don't see the need for 150W to play around with. Maybe 50 or 75 should be enough for me I think.

If you're not interested in temp control, get the Sigelei 100 Plus. It'll give you more growing space. At least get the Sigelei 75W. (I own all aforementioned, except the IPV3LI)

I just bought a 150tc last week, and out of all my devices its the one I can't put down. I also own the 75 watt, and for 15-20 more dollars, you can't go wrong.

Very affordable too. I already got the sigelei with the tfv4 . Might just pick this up as well
I'd stay away from that Tesla.... It's unregulated. Unless you're thinking about starting off dripping and building, which I DEFINITELY wouldn't recommend if you're not familiar with resistance and Ohms law, and batteries!

I'd rather a noob play with an 18650 and blow it up than some unknown 4000+ mah concoction that got sealed inside that mod.

Ohms law is a pretty simple concept. Voltage divided my resistance equals current (amps). The lower the resistance, the higher the amp. Your battery or batteries will have an amp limit. Every battery varies on the amp limit and se vendors re-wrap batteries with false specs. So its important to know your battery's specs. If you get a cheap battery, research for testing info. If you build or use a coil that has a lower resistance than what your battery can handle, it will vent. If you short the battery, it will vent. If you are too lazy to learn these things, you have no business sub-ohming, whether using a regulated device or not. Sure, a regulated device won't fire below a certain resistance, but if you don't know how to calculate coils or use an app that does it for you, you're just going to waste time building coils that don't work.

There is no way I'm going to build my own coils.

Even if you use replaceable coil heads, I still think you should know ohms law.
