Remixing existing E juice.

Hey everyone,

New to the forum here, but here is my situation. So about a year and a half ago I started vaping with an EVOD. Which I used up until four months ago, then I upgraded to a Smok X cube with a TFV4 tank.

It did not take long after switching to the TFV4 before I started making my own E juice due to the cost.

Now one of the things I thought about today, is that I have 5 bottle of E juice that I used with my EVOD that are more of less full. When I first got my TFV4 I tired the E juice in it, but since it is 70pg 30vg and 24mg nicotine, it was just awful. (Since switching to the TFV4, I use 6mg of nicotine)

So today I was thinking I would take that old E juice, and make new E juice out it it, More or less using the old E juice as nicotine and then adding some of the same flavor and adding an appropriate amount of VG.

When I make E juice it usually make it at 20pg and 80vg or close.

Is there any things you guys know as to why it might be a bad Idea to take one bottle of 24mg juice and turn it into four 6mg bottles of E juice?

OK.... kidding aside, if you're using a juice calculator, treat it as your nic base. Plug in 24 as the strength, then the ratios of pg/vg that it is. Mix to desired nic level and add flavors to your preference.

light and heat will degrade NIC - so figure 1.5 years and that 24mg NIC is prob at 12-18mg unless it was stored in a refrigerator? Only way to know would be to test it with a kit. Consider also that purchased flavors often contain a lot of sweetener which over time chemically reacts with the flavors (think fermentation) so that original flavor has probably been changed, maybe by a lot. Off the top of my head those would be two things to think about.

That being said, not much to lose ! I would do each 'flavor' one at a time if you have dif flavors as one bottle of juice may work better than another ... ie I wouldn't doctor them all up at once.

You'll break it!

LOL!

Welcome!

I think it's worth a shot, but I would only add VG to your old juice at first and give it a vape. The nic. may have oxidized to a point you may not like it at all. Why waste the flavors?

Thanks for the replies guys.
The juice its self is only six or so months old, and has been stored in the dark in a room that is usually about 18 degrees C so 64 degrees F. So I am not too concerned about the nicoteen degradation.
I use a good calculator, and have good measuring tools.

Another thing I am curious about, in your opinions, since the juice will be made from existing E juice, do you think the steeping time would not need to be as long?
I am inclined to assume that since the vast majority of the new E juice will be made from mixing in new ingredients, it will probably benefit from the amount of steep time that I usually give it. Which is two weeks.

Likely. yes a steep would help, but try it after, then again later. Some juice is quite good fresh mixed.

Could be. Many folks have reported good success from "seed steeping".

Update,

So mixed them again, on June 24th. I got them too 78vg 22pg 6mg of nicotine. then I threw them in the Crock pot for four hours.
I gave the raspberry one a small try today, it's ok, just a little harsh. I suspect after a week or two they will be great.

Thanks for the info guys.
