Removing Paint from tank

I've read here a few times of people stripping mods of their paint once they got beat up enough. I'm curious about doing it to tank. I have the Ijoy Exo RTA, Black. I had some problems with it but I finally got it working. The problem is it's actually hard for me to see the positioning of the Juice Flow Ring. Plus, I just prefer the stainless steel look. I've attached a picture below. Here are my questions.

How would one go about stripping the paint? I could use some chemicals but are tanks durable enough for this?

If I did the above, would I have to treat the bare metal, or is it just SS?

Is it worth the effort? I'll probably spend more on the process than on a new tank, but it's very hard for me to get my hands on these things.

I can live with it as is, I'm just thinking about the feasibility of it.

I did this once to the wheels on my sport bike. Aircraft paint remover will likely do the trick. It works on anodized finishes.

How I do it with the SuperTank Mini:
Take everything apart, including removing the O-rings. Acetone (nail polish remover) will take the paint off with a paper towel. Do not get the acetone on any rubber (O-rings) or plastic parts, or it will seriously mess them up quickly. When the paint is all off, rinse with hot water. Dry and reassemble.
This won't work for anodized parts, but is quick and inexpensive for painted finishes.

I believe nail polish remover is a less potent version of aircraft paint remover anyway.

Or just a container of acetone from a paint department somewhere.

Not sure how well it works on anodized surfaces though.

Thanks guys, I'll get it from the wife and try it today. I really only need to remove it from the Well/Juice Control part in order to see it better. If it works well, I'll strip the whole thing.

The odorless nail polish remover is crap for paint removal and such.
Not sure what it is.

Yep, you're right. I let one piece sit in for 45 minutes and it did nothing. I'll go find something stronger.

Ehh, I am pretty sure it was just a painted finish, but I stripped one of my husbands RDAs with alcohol. Was unintentional, so not sure what exactly caused that one to strip but nothing else I've cleaned with alcohol, except maybe that it was gross and got soaked then scrubbed instead of a quick wipe down?

And yeah, odorless nail polish remover is acetone free, so that won't do what you're after, get the old school destroys your nails stuff if you try that one!
