The researchers said anti-tobacco groups should be required to provide “convincing evidence that such measures are actually warranted, that public health overall is in imminent danger, and that the danger is sufficient to override principles of individual autonomy

There was a time when choices about health were left to the individual, and the only justification for overriding individual autonomy was if a choice was highly likely to have seriously negative effects on others. But now, we're not autonomous individuals. Instead we are just a herd of livestock on a tax farm.
